मुख्यमंत्री श्रीमती रेखा गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता में हुई व्यय वित्त समिति की बैठक में किराड़ी में रेलवे लाइन के साथ 4.5 किलोमीटर लंबी नई ड्रेन के निर्माण के लिए ₹263.45 करोड़ की परियोजना को स्वीकृति दी गई है।
760 क्यूसेक क्षमता वाली इस ड्रेन से किराड़ी, मुंडका, बवाना और नांगलोई जाट विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में जल निकासी व्यवस्था बेहतर होगी। किराड़ी की 70 से अधिक अनधिकृत कॉलोनियों सहित आसपास के क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लाखों लोगों को वर्षों से चली आ रही जलभराव की समस्या से राहत मिलेगी।
परियोजना को दिसंबर 2027 तक पूरा करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। इससे क्षेत्र में एक मजबूत और दीर्घकालिक जल निकासी व्यवस्था विकसित होगी।

MCD North Zone Deputy Commissioner inspected hotspots in and around the Delhi University (DU) area, reviewing ongoing construction and civic works.
Construction sites were directed to ensure regular sprinkling, while PWD works in the area were inspected and necessary instructions issued for dust control and site covering.

MCD’s West Zone Deputy Commissioner inspected specialist vehicles for pollution control to check their availability and serviceability.
Dhalaos in Subhash Nagar Ward were also inspected to review cleanliness and waste management arrangements.

Starting the day on the ground, the Deputy Commissioner, Central North Zone, MCD, visited across Shalimar Bagh and Pitampura Wards.
The visit focused on cleanliness, sanitation and overall civic conditions in the area. MCD team remains on the ground to ensure civic services continue smoothly.

Two trucks of material, a tin shed and building material placed on government land were seized and removed.

ACTION AGAINST STRAY CATTLE
Municipal teams in West and East Zones took action against stray cattle, with 10 cattle impounded in West Zone and 7 in East Zone to help ensure roads and public spaces remain clear.
