When he does act in a way that is unfair to her he attempts to rectify it and tries to respect her wishes. Even if he is not perfect he is not like wildly sexist and hateful like I have seen people imply. And Yeah I think it is weird and mischaracterizes both pv and wl to say it

His character (as in his development) has benefited from her in a misogynistic way because she was fridged for him to understand her and the big bad by extension. DE was killed off in an unsatisfying way so they could win etc but pv himself is usually pretty respectful+
