There is a listen feature on this blog, not a new concept.
What is interesting here is that this listening feature is powered by @__ampixa__ 's sanoTTS AI model.
This model runs fully on device, hosted right inline with the @Shopify theme and the rest of it's liquid, html, css assets.
When a user clicks play, it loads the code and Voice model and then your device begins generating the audio, usually 6-12x faster than real time.
The entire thing is roughly 8 megabytes plays almost instantly on modern devices.
Quite remarkable from a technological prospective.

There are almost a dozen incredible, open source audio transcription models that are TINY and VERY CHEAP to run.
@GoogleWorkspace isn't using any of them.

Proceeds to put tech in only one product after 4 years.
No plans to license it out. Not using it themselves.
Wasted magic as a strategic business decision. ☹️

Yeah so Opus 5.5 is kinda insane. If you liked Micro Machines and Army Men games growing up, this is up your alley. (find your way to track!).
It took me 3.5 hours to build this, I started basic and kept adding things. This used 45% of the 5 hour limit.
