Sudan Civil War: [25/9/2026]: 🇸🇩 Situation on Kordofan front: Over the past six days, the SAF have continued their operations in the desert areas, accelerating the RSF’s retreat towards the south and west. As a result of the latest operations, on 25 September government forces took control of the town of Sawdiri, the last rebel stronghold in North Kordofan Governorate. It’s all a lie, Elisabeth—it just shows how ignorant you are about the region. That’s the problem with Zionists: you believe that the sacred scriptures give you knowledge about a fictional Promised Land. In "The Genesis of Nations", Antun Saadeh had already expressed his rejection of the racial tenets of National Socialism, which were incompatible with the project of Greater Syria—a project based not on race but on a defined geography and a common historical, social, and cultural development. In fact, Saadeh himself was arrested by the French upon his return to Lebanon in 1939, accused of collaborating with the Axis, but the charges were dismissed. Nor is the SSNP a proxy for the Syrian Ba’ath Party. In fact, the SSNP was always marginalized by the Baath Party due to conflicting national agendas, uniting only against a common enemy (those Syrian terrorists you drool over so much). So much so that even in 2019 and 2020, the Baath Party effectively dissolved the SSNP, stripping it of its paramilitary wing and more than half of its seats in parliament. So you should educate yourself better. You Zionists keep perpetuating the Nazi narrative by labeling Arab nationalist movements with that term, but that’s already losing steam after 80 decades of victimhood posturing—no matter how much you phonies, dressed up as human rights activists, try to sugarcoat it, while the political regime you support blows the heads off innocent civilians.

The Russian presence in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is at risk of disappearing. 🇺🇦🇷🇺 The blocking of Starlink and the shortage of troops in the Vostok Group (due to the redeployment of troops to other fronts) have led to a decline in Russian territorial control in that oblast from 420 square kilometers in early January to just 70 square kilometers by the end of September. This has pushed the fighting back to the borders of the Donetsk front and even several kilometers further inland, jeopardizing positions captured by the Russians in the first half of 2025. It would not be surprising if the Russian presence (understood as solid control) were to end soon. As I mentioned in June (nitter.net/Suriyakmaps/status/206…), the countermeasures to resolve the Starlink blockade would last until the end of the year, so there are at least three difficult months ahead for the Russian armed forces in the south (even despite the advances in Orikhiv).
Replying to @Suriyakmaps
Meanwhile, Putin publicly stated in early June that Russia will improve and strengthen its air defense system to counter Ukrainian medium-range drones. They are redeploying air defense systems and radars to key logistics routes. This has already been happening in recent months, in addition to using alternative routes (which are longer and more vulnerable) or moving supply depots away from the front lines, which has reduced the effectiveness of their advances compared to last year. At the same time, countermeasures against drones such as the Hornet are being implemented, including more radars, drone interceptors, and advanced EW. However, these deployments require at least six months, so changes will not be visible until the end of the year. In addition, the Russian military has also begun attacking Ukrainian logistics routes with greater intensity, specifically the Pokrovsk-Pavlohrad highway. Unlike Ukraine, the Russians have been using low-cost FPV drones such as the Molniya and mother drones to attack trucks, fuel tanks, buses, armored vehicles, and engineering equipment since January. This has allowed them to create a “death zone” north of Pokrovsk, which significantly complicates the Russian army’s supply lines to Dobropillya and Andronivka, straining Ukrainian resources to hold the front there.

Dibrova and Ozerne have also been fully recaptured by Ukrainian forces, while infiltrations continue in Yampil and in the forests of Sviati Hory National Park, with the aim of reaching the Zherebets River from that flank and approaching Tors'ke from the south (by crossing the river).🇺🇦🇷🇺
Lyman still has a small presence of Russian troops in the Masliakivka suburb but Nikolaevka was completely secured by Ukrainian Army after the elimination of Russian infiltrations in the last two & a half weeks. Yesterday I discussed the problem of the accumulation of Ukrainian local successes for the Russians (nitter.net/Suriyakmaps/status/210…), and this is now happening as these successes spread to both banks of the Donets River. It’s no longer just that the loss of Lyman is hindering the progress of the Russian operation to take Sloviansk; rather, the very momentum behind the Russian assault on the city from the east has vanished (though the same cannot yet be said of Kramatorsk, at least for now). 🇺🇦🇷🇺

I understand that Russia remains committed to prolonging the war of attrition at the cost of fewer casualties and even further territorial losses, but time continues to take its toll on troop morale and public support for the war. Losing the Lyman salient has not been particularly costly for Russia, as it ordered a swift withdrawal, and it is highly likely that the Ukrainian advance will be halted at Zherebets; the issue is the impact on the morale of troops who have seen almost a year’s work undone in a matter of weeks, without noticing any substantial change in the dynamics of the war. This is compounded by the lack of reinforcements on certain fronts, the failure to implement countermeasures, and the absence of intensified attacks on the Ukrainian rear. The disaster of 2022 will not be repeated, but neither do the advances of 2024–2025 seem likely to be, unless Moscow decides to take more radical measures to accelerate the deterioration of the Ukrainian armed forces – something that could be carried out now that the Russian parliamentary elections have concluded. Local setbacks are not a cause for concern at present, but their accumulation will eventually take its toll on Russian morale and, consequently, on the conduct of military operations, which could lead to a genuine stalemate on the front by 2027.🇷🇺🇺🇦

And by local setbacks, for example, refers to Komar, where the situation is very unfavourable for the Russians; they may well lose the town in the coming weeks unless reinforcements arrive.🇷🇺🇺🇦

Ukrainian reinforcements arriving in the Orikhiv area have launched local counter-attacks in recent days, successfully eliminating the Russian ‘salient’ at Novopavlivka, which has brought Russian operations to capture this locality to a standstill. These Ukrainian counter-attacks are also having an impact on the Vasylivka front, where Ukrainian forces are attempting to push the front line back to the Shcherbaky–Stepove line. 🇺🇦🇷🇺
Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 1662-1668: 🇺🇦🇷🇺 Situation on Orikhiv front: During the last week, reinforcements of Ukrainian army have helped to halt the Russian advance in Novopavlivka and Orikhiv. However, this has not been enough to prevent Russian army from consolidating its gains in Novoandriivka and Mala Tokmachka, which both localities have been completely captured, while slight advances have been made in Preobrazhenka. Further east, Russian forces have managed to consolidate their positions in Chervona Krynytsya and Huliaipilske (completely taken too), pushing the front line beyond Ukraine’s first line of defense, entering Novoselivka, and reaching the outskirts of Yehorivka. The Moroccan elections saw a significantly low voter turnout (38%), reflecting the Moroccan population’s political apathy toward a political system lacking a clear separation of powers—a situation that has once again propelled moderate Islamists (who serve as a barometer of discontent) to the forefront. The Moroccan media have attempted to counter the image of a 62% abstention rate by showing long lines in occupied Western Sahara, in an effort to demonstrate supposed Sahrawi popular support for Rabat. The fact is that those who voted are part of the population of settlers illegally settled in Sahrawi territory and are not representative of the native population. What has happened in Ceuta invites us to reflect on how Morocco uses demographics to impose its objectives, forcing demographic changes in the occupied territories or those it intends to occupy, in order to get “the population” to accept Moroccan sovereignty and thereby legitimize its expansionist policy. It should come as no surprise if, in the future, a new political party emerges in Ceuta advocating for joint sovereignty between Spain and Morocco or even a referendum on self-determination. 🇪🇸🇲🇦🇪🇭 Of course, this will be possible due to the weakness of Spanish society and its reflection in the current political class.

Two weeks ago, I mentioned the propaganda hidden behind the videos of tanker truck convoys heading to Baniyas. The oil is intended to benefit third parties, not the Syrian people, whose demand for gasoline & oil remains unmet—all this despite the fact that control over the national oil wells has been regained. Without measures to supply and distribute even a minimum amount of energy resources, the population will suffer a supply crisis even more acute than when Syria was subject to economic sanctions. nitter.net/Suriyakmaps/status/209…

Despite the propaganda about economic recovery and improved security in Syria, the reality is quite different… and harsh. 🇸🇾 Contrary to the projected return of more than one million citizens by 2025, the flow of returnees has not only slowed in 2026 but has actually reversed, so that the number of Syrians leaving the country is once again greater than the number who left earlier. Furthermore, all religious and ethnic groups are represented among the new exiles, dispelling any notion that minorities are fleeing the country en masse. Even the Sunnis—who have formed Jolani’s support base—are being forced to flee the country due to the poor performance of the new authorities in Damascus in their economic and social policies, their inability to manage the regional and internal crisis, and despite international support and the lifting of sanctions. Nor are these images encouraging for Lebanon, which is embroiled in a war of occupation by Israel; a new wave of refugees could bring even greater instability than the country already faces.

On the other hand, you have the "mythical" HTS red bands who were demolished by a few poor armed alawite insurgents on march 2025. BTW brilliant HTS idea to let ISIS infiltrate in their own ranks. I'm sure waiting for the success of the brave green terrorist against the black terrorists.

For those who aren't from Spain. There are dozens of tunnels like these in Ceuta, some of which connect to Morocco. In addition to drugs and money (yes, the Spanish police and Civil Guard are corrupt there, and this is tolerated), there is also human trafficking, and in recent weeks more Moroccans have used these tunnels to invade Spanish territory. If we add to this the hundreds of intruders who are being hidden or aided by Moroccans with Spanish citizenship in Ceuta (many of whom have family ties), the outlook for the crisis in the city is bleak. Without a firm hand, this isn’t going to be resolved, and Morocco knows it—which is why it’s trying to make the situation increasingly untenable until the Spanish want to leave. This is how the hybrid war works. 🇪🇸🇲🇦

Situation south of Lebanon [12/9/2026]: 🇮🇱 🇱🇧 During the first two weeks of September, the Israeli army continued its low-intensity ground operations: - A. During the second week, the IDF continued demolition work in Mansouri with virtually no expansion of its ground operations there. - B. During the first and second weeks of September, Israeli forces ended up completely expanding their area of operations from the town of Hula to the Litani River. - C. During the second week, Israeli troops managed to establish a foothold on al-Taher Hill after weeks of fighting and the destruction of Hezbollah’s infrastructure there. Operation “And Allah is More Severe in Power and More Severe in Punishment” [24/9/2026] 🇾🇪 Over the past three days, the Taiz-Lahij front has stabilized, and the two sides are fighting over a series of positions that change hands periodically, with no signs of any radical change resulting from a local collapse or parallel agreements. Ansarallah recaptured Jabal al-Daif, while the YNA retook Jabal Qarfan, Jabal Hawab, and the hills between Ajram and Duqm al-Ghurab. Meanwhile, on the night of September 23, Sanaa forces launched a test attack along the Al Ashbut and Najd Al-Bard axes, entering the valley through which the Taiz-Aden highway runs. After several hours of sporadic fighting, the troops withdrew to their original positions in the morning. Map: [ google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid… ]

The fact that VeSyria—which is responsible for verifying information about Syria (and often proving to be correct)—chose to downplay this individual’s significance by stating, “He wasn’t a member of ISIS; he just liked taking photos with decapitated heads,” leaves much to be desired as a fact-checking outlet, especially for those who frequently rely on its reports.

Don't jump to conclusions, Cedric; let's hear his economic perspective. Perhaps the beheading was the result of a well-reasoned decision to ease the pressure of Ba'athism's unsustainable subsidies and marked the launch of new Islamist neoliberal initiatives during ISIS-controlled Raqqa (They were already visionaries back then).
