OMG! Just watching the last half hour of the #EltonJohn biopic #Rocketman. They interspersed real photos of Elton with the film ones in the credits and there I was far right! I had no idea!

For the past two or three weeks the scaffolding has been going up for the “re-tiling” (actually wood slats) of #Porlock Church tower. One can’t help but think that 50 years ago #FredDibnah would have been up a couple of ladders and half finished by now😆

In Oct.1940 a Spitfire shot down a Junkers 88 plane on Porlock beach. Three crew survived but one young man died and he was buried in Hawkcombe cemetery. His parents asked for him to remain there and the grave was marked by a wooden cross. A new headstone has just been erected.

R.I.P. Anthony Head. Saw him at the Old Vic about 15 years ago. Went with a pal who was a big fan and wanted to go to stage-door. He seemed a nice guy and I was official photographer for her.
