The O-Line initially PASS PROTECTS, making those aggressive User Run Shoots much harder to hit. The key is patience: 1️⃣ Don't instantly Sprint 2️⃣ Let the O-Line create the hole 3️⃣ Burst through once the lane opens This is especially good against the META pass defenses people love sitting in online. You can add HOT ROUTES to almost ANY RPO in #CollegeFootball27. And it makes some already broken RPOs WAY more dangerous. The setup: 1️⃣ Put the RPO you want in your Audibles 2️⃣ Come out in a formation located CLOSE to that RPO formation in the play-call menu 3️⃣ Audible into the RPO while walking to the line 4️⃣ IMMEDIATELY press Triangle/Y 5️⃣ Make your Hot Route before everyone gets set If you time it correctly, the game unlocks your Hot Routes even though you're running an RPO. The setup: 1️⃣ Start with a stock Short Post 2️⃣ Put a Slant across from it 3️⃣ Add a Streak across the field Against Man, both the Slant and Short Post can completely FRY their defenders. Playmaker lets you create your OWN routes on the fly in #CollegeFootball27. Most people only use it when a play breaks down, but it's MUCH better when you intentionally build it into your route combos. To Playmaker: 1️⃣ Hold LT/L2 late in the play 2️⃣ Flick the Right Stick toward the open space 3️⃣ The closest receiver will change direction One of the easiest ways to use it is with a Drag. If the Drag starts running directly into a Flat Zone, Playmaker him UPFIELD into the open middle. Custom Route Stems can create some of the EASIEST wide open throws in #CollegeFootball27. Especially on Corner and Post routes. How to stem a route: 1️⃣ Press Triangle/Y 2️⃣ Select the receiver 3️⃣ Press LB/L1 4️⃣ Use the D-Pad to stem the route UP or DOWN One of the best uses is stemming a Corner all the way DOWN and adding a Streak beside it as a pull route. The Streak clears the Deep Zone while the shortened Corner gets open underneath. The Pass Lead Streak is still one of the BEST ways to beat the Cover 0 META in #CollegeFootball27. And you DON'T need an elite WR for it to work. First, use these settings: 1️⃣ Passing Type: Placement or Placement + Accuracy 2️⃣ Reticle Speed: Above 7 3️⃣ Pass Lead Increase: Small From there, simply Pass Lead AWAY from the DB's leverage. If the CB has inside leverage, lead the Streak outside. If your opponent starts shading outside, they'll give up inside leverage instead, so lead it back inside. The QB Spin might be the BEST way to escape free rushers in #CollegeFootball27. Making just ONE defender miss in the backfield can buy you extra time to throw or open up a massive scramble. To spin LEFT: 1️⃣ Roll the Right Stick from roughly 11 o'clock to 7 o'clock To spin RIGHT: 2️⃣ Roll the Right Stick from roughly 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock The key is making one complete rolling motion. If you hit the edge of the stick too early, you can accidentally trigger a Juke instead. The Soft Juke is one of the BEST ways to evade defenders in #CollegeFootball27. And once your ball carrier has 85+ Juke Move, it becomes one of the most automatic moves in the game. How to do it: 1️⃣ Let go of Sprint 2️⃣ Quickly flick the Right Stick left or right Unlike a normal Juke, the Soft Juke lets you keep almost all of your momentum while still getting nasty tackle animations. 4-3 Even 6-1 might have the BEST Run Defense in all of #CollegeFootball27. It's about as close to automatic as Run D gets. You can get FREE defenders shooting inside runs while simultaneously sealing the edge against outside runs. Against Shotgun: 1️⃣ Spread your D-Line 2️⃣ Call the Texas 4-Man Stunt That's literally it. You can play whatever coverage you want behind it and one or both Defensive Ends can shoot straight into the backfield. Against Under Center: 1️⃣ Call Sam Will Blitz 2️⃣ Spread your D-Line 3️⃣ Call the Texas 4-Man Stunt 4️⃣ Move both blitzing Outside LBs roughly 5 yards outside the DEs Now you're forcing the offense into a lose-lose situation. Run inside and the stunt or Safety Run Fits can blow it up. Run outside and the widened LB is sitting there waiting to make the tackle in the backfield. That means you can send consistent pressure while still roaming the middle of the field and taking away your opponent's first read. Out of Sam Will Blitz in 4-3 Even 6-1: 1️⃣ Show Blitz your LBs 2️⃣ Spread your D-Line 3️⃣ Pick the side you want to send pressure from 4️⃣ Curl Flat the OPPOSITE Outside LB 5️⃣ QB Contain That's it. Now the Contain can come completely CLEAN off the edge. And even when it doesn't, you can get a defender shooting straight through the B-Gap instead. ✅ No User needed for the blitz ✅ Consistent edge pressure ✅ B-Gap pressure can also come clean ✅ User is completely free to take away the first read You can make it even easier with the 6-1 Murples Macro (covered in video). There's a reason 4-3 Even 6-1 is one of the favorite defenses of pro players in #CollegeFootball27. Everyone knows about the Blitz and Run D. But the COVERAGE might be just as good. Out of Sam Will Blitz: 1️⃣ Show Blitz your LBs 2️⃣ Put BOTH Outside LBs in Curl Flats 3️⃣ Spread your D-Line That's it. Now you're combining strong Man Coverage with Curl Flats sitting outside to bracket the routes that normally beat Man. The result is basically Man with Purples. Inside-breaking routes are difficult to throw. Outside-breaking routes are difficult to throw. Dime Normal is WAY better against the run in #CFB27 than it has any right to be. It's one of the lightest defensive formations in the game, but the combination of its natural sheds and the Texas 4-Man Stunt makes the Run D incredibly effective. Against Shotgun Runs: 1️⃣ Spread your D-Line 2️⃣ Call the Texas 4-Man Stunt 3️⃣ Show Blitz your LBs 4️⃣ User the Slot CB on the RB side A lot of the time, your User doesn't even need to make the tackle. One of the stunt defenders can shoot completely CLEAN into the backfield. Against Under Center: 1️⃣ Use the same Run D setup 2️⃣ Blitz the Middle LB 3️⃣ User the weak-side Slot CB Against inside runs like HB Dive, the Texas 4-Man Stunt can shoot directly into the backfield. Dime Normal might have the BEST combination of Coverage + Pass Rush in #CollegeFootball27. Even with only FOUR rushers, the sheds can happen so quickly that your opponent barely has time to make a read. And the coverage behind it is NASTY. Everything is built from Tampa 2, but you're turning it into a split-field shell: Cover 3 to the strong side. Cover 2 Hard Flat to the weak side. The manual setup: 1️⃣ Spread your D-Line 2️⃣ Show Blitz your LBs 3️⃣ User the weak-side Slot CB 4️⃣ Outside Third the strong-side CB 5️⃣ Inside Third the strong-side Safety 6️⃣ Curl Flat the Slot CB 7️⃣ Hook Curl the Mike LB 8️⃣ Hard Flat the backside CB That's a LOT of adjustments, which is exactly why a Macro is so valuable here (covered in the video). But once it's set up, you get elite coverage across the entire field with one of the fastest natural pass rushes in the game. And you can make it even CHEESIER. Put the weak-side DE into a Curl Flat and Spy the DT. Now you're rushing only TWO players while adding another zone exactly where the coverage was weakest. The crazy part? 3-3 Cub can stop basically EVERY style of run in #CollegeFootball27. Shotgun, Under Center, Pistol and even super heavy sets all have simple answers. Against Shotgun Runs, you barely have to do anything. Just stay in stock Cover 3 Buzz, scrape into the B-gap with your User and prevent the runner from getting outside. Against Under Center: 1️⃣ Call Cover 4 Show 2 2️⃣ Blitz ALL Linebackers 3️⃣ Move both Outside LBs outward to seal the edges 4️⃣ Scrape with your User and fill the open gap The Cover 4 safeties are both in Run Fits, so even if you guess the run direction wrong, you can still have a free LB or Safety cleaning it up. Against Pistol, use the SAME exact defense. Blitz your LBs, pull both Outside LBs out and let the free rushers attack the backfield. This might be the BEST A-Gap Blitz in #CFB27. And the actual blitz setup only requires TWO adjustments. Out of Cover 3 Buzz in 3-3 Cub: 1️⃣ QB Contain 2️⃣ Blitz your LB But the REAL secret is what you do with your User. Bring your User directly behind the Defensive Tackle until he enters the Jump The Snap stance. Then when the ball is snapped: 1️⃣ Keep holding DOWN on the Left Stick so your User attacks the gap 2️⃣ Immediately press LEFT on the D-Pad to drop him into the Curl Flat This forces the Left Guard to target your blitzing LB, even though he can't actually get to him. The result? You get elite coverage, a strong pass rush and one of the easiest defensive shells in the game, all from Cover 3 Buzz. Before calling it: 1️⃣ Use the LB Pass Rush package 2️⃣ Set a Cover 2 Shell to disguise your playcall 3️⃣ Pinch your D-Line and QB Contain 4️⃣ Set your Zone Strategy to Aggressive 5️⃣ Hard Flat the weak-side LB 6️⃣ Deep Half the strong-side CB The Deep Half is especially important because it helps eliminate one of Cover 3 Buzz's biggest weaknesses, the Seam Streak. And Aggressive Zones make this defense even better.
