"My dear children, what is happening in our parish today is unacceptable and condemned, and no one has the right to enter your homes or threaten your security and dignity.
We don't want chaos, and we don't want revenge, but we also won't accept that our people live in fear, or that the tragedy of destruction we've known before repeats itself.
Be strong, be united, and be one hand; protect one another, help the women, children, and elderly, and don't leave anyone alone.
And I say to the officials clearly: your responsibility is to protect people, not to stand by watching fear and assault; and loose weapons cannot be a substitute for the rule of law.
We call for security, justice, and accountability, not revenge and we refuse to let our parish become a scene of chaos, or for the innocent to pay the price of others' failures.
Be brave, but wise; be united, but don't be drawn into violence for blood, once spilled, rebuilds no home and protects no future. The Lord is with us, and we will not abandon one another."
