Dignity is not imposed by force, but restored by freedom For years, the Assad regime and its Russian allies have tried to promote return conferences, calling on Syrians to return to the " bosom of the homeland." But the truth was clear: no one returned. When Assad fell, and the Russians and Iranians withdrew, Syrians returned home on their own. This is the truth that we, at the Syrian Association for Citizens' Dignity, have worked to confirm for eight years. Return is not just a political decision, but a natural right that can only be achieved in a safe environment, with real freedom and preserved dignity, far from oppression and fear.
