There's an interesting thought experiment here, however that would overgeneralize and even rib the Reformation of it's point and purpose. I hearken back to a @Trent_Horn interview with an ex-Catholic where I believe Trent said, while chuckling with a welcoming grin; "Hey, we didn't always do right by you" in reference to the Reformation. This post seems to trivialize all non-Catholics as "Protestants" which is unfair. A Muslim and a Rabbinic Jew both seek to worship the God of Abraham, they both reject The Catholic Church... yet we wouldn't dare call them Protestant. I think it is intellectually lazy to not give non-Catholic Christians their flowers where due, and give them slung mud where undeserved.

When you were a cradle Catholic, you weren't likely Catechized is what I'm hearing. At least not well. She is the mother of God in the flesh, that's just common sense and anything less detracts from her virgin and Devine birth. As far as Queen of Heaven, we look to Christ's humanly bloodline coming from the Davidic Kingdom. It's there where we learn the Queen is the Mother of the King. It's well established with Solomon... The wisest man in the old Testament, many theologians argue. So you see where we get Queen, which plays directly into Christ Divinity in Human form... And you can see why we call her mother of God... Because she gave birth to God in the flesh, and was there for him. God chose her for a reason, and scripture made it clear she'd be blessed for all future generations. Now you don't have to be Catholic, but using a vague experience as a Catholic to rage bait Catholics, and for cyclical dopamine hits through a series of likes and reposts within an echo chamber of hatred for Catholics... That might be a bit much. One must be careful not to bare false witness. Perhaps these are your opinions of the Church, and what it looks like to you. If you knew what we teach, and how were to give all glory of its highest form to Christ, and that we only use Mary to reflect on the life, love and divinity of Christ in the Flesh... You'd know even solid Protestant apologists, though disagree with how intercession and veneration, at least do so respectfully and while understanding our distinction I mean no offense, I truly don't. Don't forget the Protestants wrote "the Slave Bible" and teaching their slaves to read it; it was a very much so altered Bible to specifically uplift slavery as a gift and means towards salvation... It took the Southern Baptist Association and their president (Their Cardinals and Pope; their leaders of faith and morals) to decide abortion was against the Christian faith. And try to remember the printing presss invention, people's overwhelming illiteracy for almost the entire history of the work until this past handful of hundreds of years. Try to remember when men commit sins in the name of ANY of these Churches, that they're MEN SINNING. The most devout and knowledgeable Catholic wont sidestep the misdeeds of the people in the Church, even if we constantly have to point out that the sex scandal was across all American Churches, and the Catholic Church received the most press for it as if none others were guilty. The sin of man. How, you may ask? There was a huge propaganda campaign, maybe not related to but around the time of Fulton Sheen breaking television history and being taken off the air in spite. There's a lot about that time, actual propaganda pamphlets that said stuff even you'd wince at as "well that was just false and bigoted". Let's not forget why Catholic had to built so many schools and hospitals (that everyone uses now for good) for themselves away from modern developing protestant society. The bloodshed by protestants on our own soil. The Southern Christians sure hates another group about just as much as they did blacks in the day... Just about, and they were the Catholics. So not to downplay your claim of people being burned by reading, but also consider the time. We were a more violent species by nature, and copies of holy Scripture weren't always available, and homilies are something for specific members to this day, but a lay person reading from the Bible in Mass is every day, not just Sundays. People can do evil, and it's often done in the name of Christ for any of our Christological philosophies. There's a bit of a contradiction here. We believe in defense over murder, and our violent defense... With several stains, like the sacking of Constantinople, we still managed to use that defense to preserve Christianity in a fashion, that God chose us to do along with the Orthodox, that you may not have Christianity today if it wasn't for that. Why would God choose our church? In the middle, soldiers and their spoils of war did some things unmaproved along the years. Sins of men. A Baptist minister recently was caught with his own home porn collection, and it was found his son was watching his home porn.. The son was watching his parents porn recording... The minister blamed him smoking pot, and tried to use scripture to allow for his debaucherous recording to be made snd kept in the first place. One should look at the etymology of the word "porn",cross reference it with the original text through a proper translator of the Bible, and they'll see it's not allowed. You're allowed to disagree with its substance, but I don't see you argue much substance. What's the point? The point of endless argument with people if they don't even read it, so many times I've argued and all I get is "TMI" "Didn't read it to long" or after my long response, one liners like: "Retard" "Pick-me". It isn't a debate if the other person refuses to see your side, at that point your just talking to a brick wall. And it's unfortunate that most of X works this way.
