McKay pitches running a hard line from the jumper to the dead servos.  It will power the doors shut, but potentially bleed some of the jumper’s reserves.  “Potentially?”asks O’Neill.  “Potentially - possible,”he non-commits.  “More or less.  Ish." O’Neill considers just leaving the bay open and heading in directly through the interior airlock given they’re already wearing EV suits.  "We're dressed for the occasion."  It’s the fastest way in, but their ride ends up parked inside an airless bay, so any retreat means crossing vacuum again. Holy over reaction Batman!! Blizzard has always been tough on names in WoW. This is nothing new. Being an OG WoW player I got hit with the Bad Name Nazi thing back in early 2005. Everyone was getting hit with it. And my characters were named after drugs, Vioxx for an Orc Warlock, Levitra for a female Nelf… Not even Shitbagagogo or some other buffoonery. What this guy is doing now, and we will see more of it, is the next phase of “Right Wing SJW” absolutism to combat the “Wokeinistas” inside Blizzard. The natural part of the propaganda and 5th Gen warfare is to create false dyads and set them against each other. This is exactly what libertarians are doing crashing out over Trump while cartoon-level commies are running for the senate. Absolutism is always a recipe for destruction, not construction. It doesn’t matter if we are talking tax policy, foreign policy or, yes, gaming culture. WoW:Forever is already a triumph. Like The Snyder Cut it marked a massive culture shifting win within a very important target political demographic which was being marginalized into irrelevance through hostile takeovers of the institutions of culture. Take the win. Remember your history…Classic WoW was never going to happen. Blizzard told us we didn’t want it, only thought we did because they knew better. And then it did. And it saved the company. Millions returned, forks into a half dozen variants which gave them real player feedback. But you know the drill, Classic+ (WoW:Forever) was never going to happen, they didn’t want to do it because of pride. And now it’s the biggest thing Blizzard has ever done. The failure of the team that gave us WoW: The Faggy Years are being moved out. The industry is leaving them behind and we should be grateful, but NOT absolutist. If anything, this “name” controversy tells me that Blizzard is serious about their business for the first time in 17 years. Becuase we are right back to the beginning where they cared about the outward face of the product and the community for everyone. I didn’t like getting name changed back then but then the result of it created my gaming alter ego, which I love. yes, there is cultural rot in there, but it’s losing. Take the win and stop with the revolutionary bullshit. News flash folks: for a few more years there will still be lesbians in pop culture, even as the scripts turn against them at a thematic level. When it finally stops, that’s the victory.

There are a lot of Indians going to Canada from the USA. There are also a lot of Indians leaving the USA at JFK airport. So I asked them why. I was at JFK on Sat. About half of the exiting indians were family members of Indians with H1B visas or similar. The family, not the originating/primary visa holder, were leaving because they felt their continued presence would be a risk to the primary. Some explained how planned to stay illegally and seek legal status; in essence, the family using the legal entrant as the anchor reason w/ US immigration. However, something changed. Their illegal status is now a threat to the status of the anchor. As they reevaluate strategy against current policy changes, the safest way to ensure they don't lose the anchor is to exit and try another approach from home. JFK was packed with Indians going back.

Market Report 9-23-2026: An Offramp to Gaslighting It's always hilarious to watch markets go through a cover for action moment when it gets data it wasn't expecting. This morning we watched a massive 10-12 basis point sell off in sovereign debt because the US PMI data came in way above expectations. We have been so thoroughly gaslit into believing the basic story that "Growth is bad" that any inkling of hope we have for a better future must be smashed out of us by the anticipation of future central bank action. And that's exactly what this bond sell off this morning was; a glimmer of hope crushed under the maleducation of bond traders the world over. Because the US PMI data was so good that means that the economy (or energy cost push inflation) is running hot and therefore the central banks will be forced (FORCED, THEY SAY!) to raise interest rates further to quell that inflation. But, as we just saw interest rates and gas prices have literally nothing to do with each other, but because we've been gaslit by grifters and thieves posing as our wise and insouciant leaders who have all gathered at the ultimate conference of such grifters, the UNGA, we have to be punished for our virtue of trying to produce real wealth. If the economy is growing strong, per the Atlanta Fed's GDP Now (salt to taste), then a massive US PMI beat across the board is predictable. And since there is no global economy without the US economy, US growth is good for everyone, except the sclerotic old colonial powers of Europe and their third-worlder quislings who profit off of our industrioiusness. You know what I say to that? Bullshit! How about the simpler model is at play. The US dollar liquidity squeeze is happening this week because Japan has been offline since Friday and we're starting to see what the world needs to do to get those dollars when they can't get them by proxy through their yen carry trades. Meanwhile, Trump went to said Convocation of Third World Grifters and told them the gravy train is empty, the rivers of liquidity and prosperity flow through our borders, not yours and you can join us or be left behind. We all obviously recognize the world is rapidly changing, but our perfectly understandable distaste for volatility and violence can muddle and prevent us from comprehending the world that “is” rather than what we think it “ought” to be. Contrary to OP, there’s a large contingency on that side of the table who understand the bigger picture of what’s going on and, while acknowledging that we’re in the fog of war, would assess that Bessent is, in fact, not a total retard.
