Hey folks, on behalf of the TFT and Riftbound teams, I wanted to share a few thoughts on today’s Convergence Fest Attendee Pass General Sale. With both TFT & Riftbound Communities showing up, we knew demand was going to be much higher than the number of passes we could offer, and we’ve been working on ways to make that experience better for players. For our Riftbound players, this probably isn’t your first experience with us working through ticketing challenges this year. Over the last year, we’ve moved ticketing platforms multiple times, scaled up our Regional Qualifiers to nearly double the capacity of where we started in Houston, and launched the Showdown Series to create more opportunities for players to compete. For Convergence Fest, Fan First was a new tool, and a big step for us. It was our first time using player activity, such as in-store & online play, to ensure active players got an opportunity to get tickets without having to race through checkout. That worked, allowing us to get thousands of tickets into players’ hands before the General Sale. But we missed at the last mile today. The execution of the General Sale, an already-limited ticket offer, did not meet the experience we wanted to provide, and to make it worse, the things we said in the moment didn’t match the experience we delivered. We know there are a lot of players who really wanted to be there. So here’s what we have planned next: ⏭️ We’ll have one final sale in November with any refunded tickets and any additional capacity we’re able to create. We expect this to be a small sale, and we’ll share more details on timing and availability once we have them. ⏭️ We’ve also started a larger effort to explore how we can take more ownership of ticketing and become less reliant on third-party platforms. It’s early, but we know there’s more we can do beyond Fan First to connect players with tickets and make these experiences better. We know General Sale today was frustrating, and we’re sorry we didn’t deliver the experience you deserved. For everyone who will be in Vegas, I’ll see you there. Heads up, we're working on a B-patch targeting some evolutions in the meta (you can't hide forever Kha'Zix / Blackthorn), as well as re-implementing some balance changes that were inadvertently rolled back from 18.2B (Camille, LeBlanc, Teemo, Ashe, Draven). 18.3 went out early for NA PC (live now). Mobile will patch on normal cadence (early tomorrow morning). Mobile to PC crossplay will be temporarily unavailable until Mobile updates tomorrow.
