THE MYSTERY OF PELLER AND CULTURE SHAPING. I think many preachers are out of touch with the current world. We relate with church people so it’s possible we are locked in our mental loop. Even I didn’t understand the gravity of culture shaping in this generation till i started paying attention, especially with the Olodo Uprising paradigm. Now, I am not a proponent of the seven mountains of influence or whatever, but one thing is clear, influence in this generation has changed hands!! It may not be a convenient fact for a cerebral character but the facts cannot be ignored. If Peller calls for a meeting today, only God knows the thousands of young people that will turn up! A hundred years of sharing tracts on the streets or holding mega phone may not meet up to that singular summon. We have to accept new people are shaping the culture across the world! And they are doing it from their phones. It’s a reality we must now accept! I don’t believe there is a move of the Spirit on media or there is any prophecy attached, I don’t do spooky stuffs or try to find bible texts to justify everything around, all I know is that the world has moved very far away from the media we are used to, growing up. The earlier the church adjusts to this reality and find ways to get ahead of it, the better for us. Since we are dealing in the business of mental real estates, social media influencers seem to own cities while we are struggling to own kiosks sometimes. And let’s not deceive ourselves about how Preachers are becoming global figures in very short periods of time, it is simply through this same social media! We can delude ourselves that God is announcing this or that, how come God is not announcing missionaries in the villages who have no access to media? A critical part of adulting is confronting reality even when it’s uncomfortable. Things are not the way they used to be. Now, that’s fact!

Many Christians who hate TITHES also DISHONOUR PASTORS! I have many facts to back it! As a preacher who used to fight tithing vehemently , I can tell you for a fact that it attracted a lot of dishonorable and angry people to me! People who don’t believe pastors are worth their money! I strongly counsel a younger minister against attracting such people!

Delude yourself all you can, this generation DOES NOT READ TRACTS!! We read those in the days of Scripture Union. 1999 and co! The world has since moved on! Everything has advanced, the method of reaching the world has changed! Your refusal to adapt to this doesn’t make you apostolic, it makes you redundant in the face of facts! People don’t even watch TBN and co as they used to, anymore!! YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok has replaced all these! Every thing is done on phone! You can delude yourself further! The internet is where the INFLUENCE IS! If you don’t know that by now, you are living under the rocks! If your evangelism is about shouting on Megaphones, you cannot and I repeat you cannot INFLUENCE THE NEW WORLD!! Sweat all you may! The world has moved on! You and your archaic ways cannot dominate the new world! Mass influence is done on social media then the mass are converted PHYSICALLY! That’s the modus operandi now! Pastor Jerry Eze @RealJerryEze has reached the world via @YouTube , no megaphone or tracts can deliver that result in record time! Face the facts!! I have not said evangelism doesn’t have any effects via tracts or megaphone but the mass effect is on the internet! We go out to win souls every week, yet we know that the results can never match the power of social media influence! You will argue with this post via same internet, it’s to show you how convoluted your perspective of reality is!

Was Pastor Kunle Soriyan entirely wrong? 1. Preaching via megaphones and tracts clearly work for poor people more. People who are probably used to the street, receiving things on the road etc I have done outreaches consistently with flyers and I know the reception isn’t as great as it used to be. Even I do not receive flyers from people anymore so how can I blame others who don’t? Frankly you can’t come into an average estate with megaphones or tracts. You can’t get access to people in urban places, except you are a part of that neighborhood or something. Access has been greatly limited in this generation, no one wants a megaphone 📣 blaring in their peaceful estates. I once did prayer walks by 5am in the estate I lived before this, a silent prayer walk without words anyone could hear, the estate reported me for patrolling the estate streets unnecessarily. You can’t get a decent audience from megaphones, except you are under the bridge and stuff. I have not said peasants and poor people don’t deserve the gospel but you and I know they don’t control the narrative in this generation! You can’t reach elite population with archaic tools. Maybe his statement is not true for all places but I know it is true for many cities. Many of you who are dragging him do not receive tracts from people at all, neither do you receive flyers. This generation does not resonate with those old methods. A social media influencer actually stands way better chances at influencing his or followers than a man standing in the sun with a megaphone. 2. Don’t be hypocritical, the average exposed young person doesn’t gravitate towards preachers who preach in the bus. These are the realities. If you really do evangelism, you will know people don’t gravitate towards these flyers, tracts, megaphones , bus evangelisms as much as digital media today. It is okay you don’t like the presentation but you can’t invalidate the facts. Think!

Showing up daily is not enough! We must have the courage to rethink the process! Discover what is working and recalibrate our strategies. The goal is same but the strategy is different! A critical part of growth is accept what is not working even if that is what we wish would work!

While doctrinal accuracy must be greatly desired by all ministers, it doesn’t determine how materially prosperous a preacher will be. People came from across the world to hear Solomon’s wisdom. He became filthy rich. Pharaoh didn’t care about Joseph’s theology, just his gifting. Daniel wasn’t being exegetical in Babylon but man could interpret dreams, man could even dream your dream that you forgot you dreamt! Preachers who have potent solutions for people will often have wealth gravitate towards them than those who focus purely on exegetical or doctrinal accuracy. Thus, a preacher must strive to have both abilities, for optimal blessings. Of course, you are free to drag me by saying a preacher shouldn’t seek to have money and all that, it’s how much your mind can comprehend, carry on.

The law was added and then removed but GRACE NEVER CHANGES!! No one is ever justified by the law but by GRACE ALONE, through faith. “Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.” Galatians 3:19 KJV It was added and then it was REMOVED but GRACE REMAINS!!

Kanye West @kanyewest teaching about honour here. No one should be doing a parent’s honour when the adult child is right there. There are actions that show we respect the union within systems. For example, you cannot and should not announce that someone has died when his or her family has not done so! The loss is more personal to them than to you, you shouldn’t chase clout with that! You shouldn’t go to a wedding, funeral or such a family event and make contents for public consumption when the families have not approved, some even overshadow the celebration with their own content aspirations, this is disorderly and very dishonorable! It is not your event, it is not your celebration, you have to learn that certain things belong to certain people and you should know your limits. When my father died and his casket was lowered into the grave, I poured sand on the casket ⚰️ as a mark of honour, the pastor stopped me claiming they don’t do that in their denomination, I told him to back off real quick cos this body in the casket is not a denominational body, that’s my dad right there, pouring sand on his casket shouldn’t raise a dust, the entire casket would later be submerged in a heap of sand, so why the fuss? Even when I conduct wedding ceremonies, I don’t do too much, it is their wedding, I just do my little part and leave! I don’t make it into some church service or crusade, because it is not! Honour means we know boundaries and we know our places! We allow those who occupy the right positions do what they need to do. If you are not the leader in a meeting, you can’t be so zealous to start talking over the leader. You must read the room and know where you belong before you do certain things!
