Happy First Birthday Gosling!
Crazy to think it's been a year already. For those that haven't followed our journey, the short version is that our little guy was born at 25 weeks, coming in just shy of the second trimester. The path to one year has certainly been a long one. 🧵

1 year ago today, after 123 days in the NICU, we finally got to take Gosling home from the hospital. I can still remember the weird feeling of finally getting to carry him out of that room and bring our little guy home. Can’t say enough how grateful I am to have that behind us.

Spent all morning debating going to work today. Finally gave in and headed to the office, only for the internet to be out again. Immediately packed up and went home to wait for the telework announcement.

Gosling is doing a lot better today. Looks like the fever is all but gone and he's back to playing, randomly babbling, and occasionally doing laps in his crib. Much happier to see him smiling and being crazy again.

Little guy is having a rough one as he's been running a slight fever since last night. First time he's been sick since leaving the hospital almost a year ago. Really wish I could magically make him feel better, but for now, we'll weather this storm together.

Mentioned Gosling was working on walking, but left off the part where he took his first steps last week!
He can do around 5-6 steps consistently with his PB at 16 without falling. Many diving saves as the Dad reflexes have kicked in.

Yesterday would've been Gosling's birthday if he'd come on time (instead of a trimester early). Crazy to think we were still in the NICU this time last year.
Now we're working on solid foods and walking. Gosh how the time flies.
