The UK spent £13.095 billion on Official Development Assistance (foreign aid) in 2025, or 0.44% of GNI. This was down £987 million from £14.082 billion (0.50%) in 2024. Around £2.4 billion of the 2025 total covered in-UK refugee costs. The government plans further reductions to 0.3% of GNI by 2027/28.
