🚆 We’re proud to introduce our new ‘Voices of TPE’ – colleagues Daniel, Grant and Sophie, who are now the voices behind onboard announcements for customers across the North of England and Scotland. 🎙️ Chosen following an internal competition, the trio recorded hundreds of announcements during 2025, from station names across our network to important safety and security messages. 🗺️ With voices from York, Glasgow and Cleethorpes, the new announcements reflect the regions and communities we’re proud to serve, while giving customers clear, consistent and reliable information throughout their journeys.

Please check the map carefully and allow additional time to reach the correct stop.

Transpennine Route Upgrade until Friday 2 October We’re upgrading the Transpennine Route to deliver a faster, more reliable, and more sustainable railway across the North. This multi‑billion‑pound investment is modernising the railway so trains can run more smoothly and with lower carbon emissions. While some disruption is needed now, these improvements will mean better journeys for decades to come. Trains will still be running, but journeys may take longer, be diverted, or require a replacement bus. Changes to rail services between Manchester Piccadilly and Huddersfield until Friday 2 October Until Friday 2 October trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Huddersfield will start and terminate at Marsden. Rail replacement buses will transport customers between Marsden and Huddersfield, where customers may connect to rail services to continue their journey. Marsden station does not have step-free access to all platforms and there is a steep hill to access the station. It may be difficult for some customers to change there. If you require step-free access, are travelling with prams, pushchairs or heavy luggage, or would prefer to use an alternative station, please change at Stalybridge instead, where rail staff can direct you to accessible rail replacement buses to help you continue your journey.

A new chapter for North Yorkshire 📚 We've opened a children's book nook at our station in Thirsk. The dedicated reading space was donated to us by Hachette as part of its Raising Readers initiative.
