About a quarter of the 130 Yemen-based X accounts identified by TTP offered what appeared to be U.S. or Western military weapons. The weapons were all stamped “PROPERTY OF U.S. GOVT” or “NATO.”

These posts appeared to violate multiple X policies, including a prohibition on weapons sales, and promotion of terrorist organizations. X has suspended a number of the accounts since TTP’s report, but many had been operating openly for years.
