First, one of a university's core missions is to preserve knowledge.
Second, sure, Godwin's law & all that--and this seems to be more about a webpage than the archive itself--but the first Nazi book burning was of Magnus Hirschfeld's library of research on gender & sexuality.
After Texas State Rep. Brian Harrison and megadonor Monty Bennett publicly complained about the University of North Texas having a large archive of primary sources related to LGBTQ history in North Texas, UNT took down a website about it. Rep. Harrison is taking credit.
