Which Muslim Iranians want Islam to have a place in Iran’s future?
Every time I say that Islam should have no place in Iran’s future, some people respond: “We agree with you, but there are other Iranians who want Islam.”
My question is: Who are these people? Why are we speaking on their behalf? Let them come forward and express their own views.
Another argument people raise is freedom of religion. But in my view, Islam is not merely a religion; it is also a political ideology that can seize power through force. My concern is repeating the experience we have witnessed in Iran over the past 47 years.
So instead of speaking for others, let everyone speak for themselves.

Tran is another inexplicable example of the son of immigrants who fled communism, only to support communism in the US.
