Weather modification is basically an accepted concept in 2026. In the very least, accurate weather prediction is certainly possible. As I recall, the main issue with the American Helium balloons was the extreme size of the dirigible acting like a sail and redirecting the craft-now a non issue if we can predict and or even marginally control the weather. We could even use auxiliary hydrogen balloons sort of like SRBs that could be cut loose like the payload in severe weather. I think heavy lifter airships are cool! Why not?
