I am begging other countries / cultures to make space RPGs, I am tired of "space is the wild west / frontier" :P Do Afrofuturism, French comics, The New Weird, Dune, Space Wuxia, Soviet sci-fi, Kpop in space, whatever, but no more cowboy hats, banjos & southern accents, please.
Meet Sam Coe, an excellent pilot and even better dad! Having a strong sense of frontier justice, Sam believes that if helping someone means breaking the rules, so be it. #Starfield Voiced by @EliasToufexis

Preparing my slides for #JSAA2023 and, of course, including a gif of Kotaro's henshin from #仮面ライダーblack - the automatically generated alt-text is simultaneously very disrespectful yet also a plausible way for Toei to describe one of their heroes, somehow 😂

What’s more rare is ones about human relationships, rather than aloneness. And when I play these I find my unconscious brings in horrors to things that happen. I actually don’t need designers to convince me the world is horrifying. So the games I seek out are about relationships.

There are many journaling games about alone-ness, and many about being in horrific situations. Dying alone. Lost your memories. Journeying in an apocalyptic landscape. It is as if the designers are trying to convince me the world is horrifying. But the thing is, I already know.

cw: death, wakes - - - - - - "The late Mr Kee Kin Tiong, a Taoist, had been given Christian funeral rites meant for a 70-year-old man who was scheduled for cremation. The plaintiffs... were left with no body to conduct a funeral wake in accordance with Taoist funerary rites..."

"Ms Kee said a deceased person should be mourned for at least three days before cremation, according to Taoist tradition. This ensures he has a smooth journey into the afterlife. Without proper procedures, "it's our belief the soul will still remain in the body", she said."

Absolutely nightmarish, what a terrible fate. To be consigned to the wrong afterlife, if your metaphysics allows for that? Or if you adopt a more materialist approach, for those who still live and grieve to be subjected to even more trauma and pain, to be denied proper respects?

Been wanting to do this since the first time I’ve drawn my SEA-fantasy series!

100 years ago tonight, in the small town where we live, thousands of klan members came to march through the Irish catholic neighborhood. To get there they had to funnel over this bridge. When they got there it had been blocked by a truck. Which should have been a warning.

Reliefs of two dogs sleeping in Borobudur Temple, Central Java, missing the top half. A lovely detail from Lalitavistara panel telling the story of Gautama Buddha (the part where the Buddha changes his fine clothes to simpler ones). 📷: Anandajoti Bhikkhu #InternationalDogDay
