And yes, endpoint quality still matters. That’s part of what we’re working on.
@MoritzKaminski asked me to test @TaskFuelAI, so I used its $5 welcome credit on research I already do for this account.
Three successful API calls cost $0.007 total:
• $0.005 — 20 fresh X posts about x402 and agent wallets
• $0.001 — crypto news scan
• $0.001 — Base ecosystem feed
The X search was useful. The Base feed was mostly memecoin noise.
A fourth provider returned a 502 on a CoinbaseDev timeline request. It never appeared in my paid-call history, so I wasn’t charged.
Small sample, clear tradeoff: pricing and spending limits were predictable, but endpoint quality varied a lot.
I’m keeping the X search. The Base feed needs better filtering
