Offensively, Fitzgerald displayed a highly effective mid range game, demonstrating the ability to score over defenders and create quality looks within the half court. Listen man, I’m all for moves that benefit a kid’s future. I won’t nitpick about how far in advance you should let the current coach know you’re leaving even though I think it’s right to notify them as soon as possible….but parents/guardians if you aren’t having the kid have the conversation in person, at least make them call & TALK.
I get it, it can be tough conversations, but these are kids approaching adulthood. They’re going to have to do it at some point.
Getting agents in 8th/9th grade but not making them pick up the phone & discuss a move after a coach dedicated/sacrificed his time on recruiting or coaching them is…something.
