We're so excited to announce the official attendance figure for AVCon 2026 weekend is an amazing 20,600! We have never before seen such a phenomenal response to our event and take it as proof that AVCon is back as the biggest and best event in SA! AVCon 2026 was a record for participation from our amazing fans, artists, businesses, performers, streamers, and communities. We are so thankful for all the love and support we got this year and can't wait to take this momentum into the future. This is an amazing result for the AVCon team and represents a huge increase over the last three years; AVCon 2024 - 12,500 AVCon 2025 - 14,900 AVCon 2026 - 20,600 Attendance is a figure used in events to calculate how many entries there were across multiple days and events. It includes all our staff, exhibitors, artists as well as people who bought tickets for just one day, the weekend, and came to After Dark.

For one hour only, AVCon President Big Poppa Mowen and Vice President Sticki Vicki are taking over the Video Games Stage for their most ill-advised event yet: Super Sexy Casual Tournament Time! A deeply unserious After Dark showdown of questionable taste, questionable skill, and extremely questionable decision-making. The big man has chosen to run Bikini Karate Babes, an early 2000s 2D tournament fighter with digitised photographic sprites a la Mortal Kombat, if all the classic MK fighters were babes in bikinis and, instead of fatalities, they shook everything everywhere. Meanwhile, the stickiest VP has selected her fighting game of choice: Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball. A game where you take legitimate martial artists, put them in as little clothing as possible, and make them participate in a sport that is approximately 75% bouncing. No registration needed. Grab a drink, come along, and put your hand up to participate live! Prizes are up for grabs. Super Sexy Casual Tournament Time: it’s what After Dark was made for!

Did you know AVCon is the biggest tabletop event in South Australia? It's true! Almost half of the Goyder Pavilion is dedicated purely to tabletop gaming, packed wall to wall with games, creators, and content running all weekend. Good Games Adelaide are bringing huge Trading Card Game learn to play sessions where you can jump into Pokémon, YuGiOh, Magic the Gathering, and more, even if you have never touched a deck before. They are also running the Elder Dragon Summit, a free Magic the Gathering Commander festival where you can earn prizes just by playing and having fun. The Warhammer scene is going absolutely massive with a 60 player plus tournament, the biggest South Australia has ever seen. Whose army will come out on top? Asmodee are on site with hands on board game demos and a full free play zone so you can sit down with friends and discover new favourites at your own pace. The Role Playing Relm is your gateway into adventure with fast, accessible RPG one shots that let you try different systems without long commitments. Just jump in, play, and experience a story.
