What happens when learning becomes a launchpad?
For John Evans Okyere, Developers Foundry became part of a journey that took him deeper into AI and machine learning, from strengthening his technical foundation to building and working on real-world AI solutions.
As a participant in AI/ML Engineering Track, John developed skills across areas including Python, machine learning, deep learning, model deployment and MLOps. Today, he is an AI/ML Engineer and the founder of Veloxa Technology, building AI-driven solutions for African businesses.
But this is bigger than one program or one career journey.
As we celebrate 10 years of Tech4Dev, we are celebrating the people whose stories remind us why access to digital skills and opportunity matters. Because the real impact is not only in what someone learns during a programme, but in what they go on to build with it.
We are proud to have been part of John’s journey through the Developers Foundry program, and grateful to UK-NG Tech Hub, our partner for the program, for helping create opportunities for emerging technology talent to learn, grow and build.

That was the focus of our team at Tech4Dev, alongside consortium partner Telesoftas, during a stakeholder engagement and facility assessment visit to Benue State for the iDICE Skills-to-Jobs Programme.
