It’s amazing how many still think EVs only go 100 miles and take 20 hours to charge and that the battery is buried right next to wind turbine blades and that’s why batteries are killing birds and … … oh yeah they’re slow

You were leading to everyone going electric, when there is equipment that is decades old, that still works fine for what it is used for, including but not limited to... cars. The only reason it might need to be taken out of service is the forced extinction of parts or fuel.

Nothing wrong with using something while it has useful life left. Or give it away to someone who needs it. I prefer the convenience of battery as my time is valuable.

Last I heard, California was outlawing anything with ICE small engines. They have already outlawed any trucks without DEF [I assume it will progress to electric trucks] to the point you have to haul it out of the state [instead of drive it] or face a fine.

While my cellphone requires 3-8 grams of slave labor, your EV requires 4,000-20 000 grams of slave labor. The degree to which I support slave labor is a tiny fraction of the degree you support it.

Honda gas mower won't die. Same with the Honda snowblower. Made a small concession and picked up a cheap battery powered snow shovel. Same batteries power the chainsaw and weed wacker.

In time there will be no choice. Best to replace as the need arises. Places like Home Depot are already at the 50% mark for walk behind mowers, trimmers etc on the shelves.

Switch to electric lawn equipment as your current tools need replaced. All my equipment is electric but I never got rid of anything that was still working, other than the riding mower I sold...
