ARM templates gave me nightmares. Bicep is a nice alternative. Terraform is another one (but you need AzAPI provider to have 100% API coverage). Using programming languages instead of a DSL is the way 😉 and Pulumi is amazing for that.

This is huge! Pulumi now supports using ANY Terraform (or OpenTofu) provider. Providers can come from a public registry(like OpenTofu Registry), an organization's internal registry or a local path on your machine.

Here is an example taken from here: github.com/oz-code/OzCodeDem… FullName is a simple expression concatenating the Firstname and FullName properties of the class customer for better readability. DaysTillBirthday is a more complex expression using a method defined in the code.
