American business is a high trust venture. Most b2b work is done on credit with 30-90 day payment terms. Of course, there is usually a purchase order and contract involved, but if it gets to that point a lot of small businesses will just write it off. Legal costs eat the invoice.
Recently thinking about this looming disaster:
A very large portion of the economy rests on a foundation of legal agreements negotiated and documented by fallible (some of them *very* fallible) human attorneys.
Think of the chaos unleashed when super-competent AIs are set loose to identify loopholes, imperfections, inconsistencies, etc. in that highly imperfect corpus.
