Celebrating 10 Years of TesCalendar! Ten years ago, two Tesla enthusiasts, Mitchell Dickler and @spotted_model, had a simple idea. They loved Tesla. They loved photography. They loved the passionate community that was forming around a company that was still proving itself to the world. Back then, there was nothing quite like it. Tesla was a niche brand, electric vehicles were far from mainstream, and there wasn’t a dedicated calendar that celebrated the vehicles, the technology, and the people who believed in the mission. So they created one. What started as a small passion project quickly became a way to showcase the incredible photography and enthusiasm of Tesla owners from around the world. The calendar became more than just a collection of photos, it became a celebration of a community united by a vision of a better future. As the years passed, Tesla grew. New vehicles were introduced. The community expanded. What began with a handful of passionate owners evolved into a global movement. Six years ago, Mitchell and @spotted_model faced life changes that made it difficult to continue running the project. Rather than let the calendar come to an end, they entrusted it to me. It was an incredible responsibility to take over something that had already become a cherished tradition within the Tesla community. My goal was simple: honor the foundation they built while continuing to grow the calendar and the impact it could have. What makes TesCalendar unique is that it has never been about profit. From the beginning, this has been a completely charitable project. Every calendar sold helps support meaningful causes that make a real difference in the world. Over the years, proceeds have helped fund environmental restoration efforts such as rebuilding oyster populations in the Chesapeake Bay, planting trees to support healthier ecosystems, and, more recently, humanitarian initiatives that provide meals and support for those facing hunger. The calendar has become something bigger than any one person, any one vehicle, or even any one year. It represents thousands of Tesla enthusiasts who have submitted photos, voted in contests, purchased calendars, shared the project with friends, and supported causes that extend far beyond the automotive world. As we celebrate the 10th edition of TesCalendar, it’s impossible not to reflect on how far we’ve come. What began as an idea between two Tesla fans has grown into a decade-long tradition powered by an incredible community. To everyone who has submitted a photo, purchased a calendar, donated, voted, shared our posts, or simply supported the project along the way: thank you. You are the reason this calendar still exists ten years later. This isn’t just a calendar. It’s ten years of community. Ten years of generosity. Ten years of Tesla enthusiasts coming together to create something meaningful. And thanks to all of you, its impact reaches far beyond the pages hanging on a wall. Here’s to the first ten years of TesCalendar, and to the difference we can continue to make together in the years ahead.

Day 48 without our VW ID. Buzz. And now the dealer has stopped answering a pretty important question. Why are we waiting AGAIN for the exact same part they already replaced? The original replacement took over a month to arrive. Now that same part needs to be replaced again, and based on everything that has happened, I have serious questions about whether it was damaged during the repair process. I’ve directly asked the dealer to explain why this part needs replaced again. No answer. So here we are. 48 days without our BUZZ, waiting on the same part for a second time, while the dealer seemingly refuses to explain how we got here. At this point, the silence is becoming part of the story.
Day 47 without our ID. Buzz. The dealer has officially doubled down on their position. They’ll replace the door they damaged, but as far as anything beyond that goes, they say their decision is final. Meanwhile, we’re still waiting on the same mechanical part we were waiting on weeks ago, the door repair can’t even begin until the mechanical repair is finished, and there are still some questions about the timeline that I want answered. At this point, I’ve stopped expecting the dealership to voluntarily make this right. That doesn’t mean I’m done. Quite the opposite. I’ve spent the last few days doing my homework, documenting everything, and figuring out what comes next. For now, we wait for a few answers. 👀

So many people are offended by electric trucks 😂
If trucks are going to electrify, then the design needs to change. Long hoods create blind spots, and that has been proven to be a killer of small children. Get rid of the unused engine compartment. You've got a bed in the back.

Incredible! Can’t wait to see the continued growth!
Crazy what the Tesla Supercharging team has achieved with the last 14 years. ~85,000 Superchargers in ~9,000 locations. There is just one EV charging network on the whole planet that covers our little Earth like this today.

For those wondering, it looks like the BUZZ won’t come back to the US until the first half of 2027.

The 3rd screen is reallyyyyyy unnecessary IMO.
GMC Sierra 1500 •New 6.6L sixth-generation Small Block V8: 481 horsepower and 501 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class, the largest-displacement V8 in its class and GMC's most powerful half-ton V8 ever. •Class exclusive Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel: 305 horsepower and 495 lb.-ft. of torque. When paired with the available 34-gallon fuel tank (approx.), it offers more than 900 miles of available GM-estimated highway range. All cool except it’s a beautiful “Screen Queen”. Do you really think those screens will work in say 20 years. This is a truck dammit

I’m genuinely furious today. After everything that has happened, Perrysburg Volkswagen has now informed me that their “final decision” is $0 in compensation for the damage they caused to our nearly new ID. Buzz while it was in their care. Yes, they’re replacing the door they damaged. But fixing damage you caused isn’t compensation. It’s fixing damage you never should have caused in the first place. Their damage could add another 2–3 WEEKS to this ordeal, and we’re left with a nearly new vehicle that will have a replaced and refinished door and the potential for diminished value. Their answer? $0. I’m beyond frustrated. And at this point, my wife is completely done with Volkswagen too. I think her texts today pretty much sum up where we are: “I strongly dislike VW.” “Never buying one again.” That honestly hurts because we LOVE our ID. Buzz. We didn’t want to be done with Volkswagen. We wanted our Buzz back. Instead, it’s still not mechanically repaired, the door still needs replaced, the buyback is still unresolved, and there continues to be no real end in sight. I’ve tried to be patient. I’ve tried to be reasonable. Today, I’m just angry.

I spoke with the VW Customer Care agent today. He confirmed that the part should be here in a week. Then another week or so to repair the vehicle. Then 2-3 weeks for the door. I asked “is this acceptable to you? We will have been without our vehicle for THREE MONTHS when we finally get it back.” His response: “I know”

🚨 DAY 46: THE “GOOD NEWS” IS WE MIGHT GET OUR BUZZ BACK IN ANOTHER MONTH. Seriously. After 46 days without our @VW ID. Buzz, the best-case scenario now has us waiting until somewhere around Day 75 to finally get our vehicle back. And that’s assuming nothing else goes wrong. 🔧 They’re currently waiting on a replacement for the same part they’ve already replaced once. 📦 Best case, that part arrives in 5–7 days. 🛠️ Then, assuming that actually fixes the BUZZ, it still needs to go to the body shop to repair the door that was damaged while it was at the dealership. 🚪 Estimated time for the door repair: another 2–3 weeks. 🚗 And 46 days into this ordeal, we still don’t have a comparable loaner for the vehicle we bought. So after a month and a half of waiting, repeated repairs, dealership damage, and no comparable replacement vehicle, we’re now looking at another month as the optimistic outcome. At this point, getting our vehicle back by Day 75 would apparently be considered a win. Same part. Same problem. Another month. Day 46. ⏳
