Proud Dad & Loving Husband | Proudly serving NJ’s First Legislative District in the State Senate

Vineland, NJ
This afternoon I joined @Congressman_JVD, the Army Corps of Engineers, NJDEP, & local officials assessing storm damage along our shore. It is critical that we have all hands on deck to replenish our beaches so our shore communities can weather the winter and enjoy another great tourism season in the real South Jersey. That’s why I’m working tirelessly at the state level to ensure our communities have the resources they need to rebuild. 📍North Wildwood

I appreciated joining @HarryHurley on his program to discuss the devastating Nor’easter that battered our coast. I’ll continue to work with anyone, regardless of party, to deliver the relief our communities need to rebuild, recover, and better protect our shore from future storms.

It shouldn’t take a lawsuit to find out how bad New Jersey’s illegal voting saga really is. Noncitizens registering and casting votes in our elections was preventable. Voter ID is a common-sense safeguard that could have stopped it. That’s why I co-sponsored legislation to make voter ID the law in New Jersey. It has bipartisan support: Governor Sherrill has said she’d sign it into law! So, what is the Legislature waiting for? 🤔

On September 12, 2001, America woke up grieving, but united. We set aside our differences. Neighbors helped neighbors. First responders answered the call. Flags flew from front porches, storefronts, and car windows across the country. Twenty-five years later, may we remember not only the pain of September 11, but the strength, compassion, and unity we showed each other the day after. America is strongest when we stand united together. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, we carry forward the memory of those we lost, the courage of those who served, and the enduring promise of freedom that binds us together. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

A 6-year-old girl was kidnapped from her home and allegedly sexually assaulted by a man who was in this country illegally. One headline like this is one too many. As a father, I cannot imagine the pain this family is experiencing. Every parent deserves to know their children are safe, and New Jersey families deserve leaders who will put their safety first. But over the past few weeks, New Jerseyans have seen multiple instances of heinous crimes allegedly committed by people who are in this country illegally. We cannot continue accepting policies that allow dangerous criminals who have no legal right to remain here to stay in our communities. That is why we must immediately repeal New Jersey’s sanctuary state policies and ensure that state and local authorities cooperate with federal immigration officials to remove dangerous criminals from our communities. This cannot become the new normal in Mikie Sherrill’s New Jersey. New Jersey families deserve safety. They deserve accountability. And they deserve so much better. foxnews.com/us/illegal-immig…

New Jersey’s immigrant trust directive MUST be repealed immediately. We cannot be a sanctuary state that continues to put noncitizens ahead of hardworking, taxpaying New Jerseyans. I’ve been outspoken against this dangerous policy since 2019, and I will never stop fighting to restore law and order, support law enforcement, and bring common sense back to the Garden State.

UMass won its first game since 2024 after Mikie Sherrill sent this out. I’m not saying she cursed Rutgers… but we can’t rule it out.
The Scarlet Knights are back! 🏈 Wishing @RFootball a great season as they take the field against UMass for their home opener tonight. Let’s go RU!

Republicans have been sounding the alarm about New Jersey’s disastrous business climate for years. Now, the consequences are impossible to ignore. New Jersey suffered record job losses in July, employers are leaving in droves, and businesses are moving to states with more competitive climates. Now Burlington, founded in Burlington, New Jersey, and named after the town, is moving its headquarters across the river to Pennsylvania. It turns out the cost of doing business matters to the people doing business… For decades, Democrats have controlled New Jersey’s government and had every opportunity to make our state more competitive. Instead, they have done nothing while businesses, jobs, and opportunity continue moving out of state. Even Pennsylvania, with a Democrat Governor, is eating New Jersey’s lunch, despite New Jersey’s enormous economic advantages of its own. This is not inevitable. It is the result of failed leadership and years of bad policy. If Democrats keep doing the same thing, New Jersey will keep getting the same result. New Jersey deserves SO much better.

If Democrats in Trenton were truly serious about election integrity, they would have called a special session, brought our voter ID bill to the floor for a vote, passed it, and sent it immediately to the Governor’s desk, especially after she indicated she would sign it. Anything less is a blatant disregard for the will of the constituents they represent.

Happy birthday to my amazing mom! Your hard work and love have made such an impact on our family and everyone around you. I’m grateful every day for your example—and for the time we spent in the kitchen, where you taught me my love of food by letting me watch you cook and bake. Hope today is as special as you are. I love you!!! ❤️

Great time with Assemblymen Simonsen & McClellan in my hometown of Vineland today, seeing firsthand the incredible work the Vineland Soup Kitchen is doing for our community. They are the best legislative partners anywhere in the country—and it was great being with neighbors for a morning of fellowship and giving back.

The dog days of summer may be here, but in New Jersey, every day is worth fighting for. The future of the Garden State will not be handed to us. We have to stand up, speak out, and work every single day to make New Jersey and you, perfect together again!

It’s been well over three weeks since we discovered thousands of non citizens were added to our voter rolls and hundreds of them were allowed to vote. Now it’s been discovered the number of noncitizens registered and even allowed to vote illegally has continued to grow. How is it even possible to have no mention of the true number of non citizens who made it on our voter rolls, who self identified (improperly) as citizens, or where they may have casted illegal votes? The public deserves full transparency immediately.

It’s been over two weeks since Mikie Sherrill indicated her support for a voter ID bill in New Jersey. This comes off the heels of thousands of non-citizens on our voter rolls and hundreds of non-citizens (that we know of) illegaly voting in our elections. Trenton Democrats lack of action on this issue is disappointing, but unsurprising. It’s time to return to Trenton immediately & send a voter ID bill to the Governor’s desk.

I will introduce legislation to restore the cost of living adjustment New Jersey’s retired police officers and firefighters were promised. Over the past five years, New Jersey has spent more than $500 million on two programs that benefit illegal immigrants. My legislation would redirect funding from those programs to help honor our commitment to the heroes who spent their careers protecting our communities. It’s time we take care of the men and women who have always taken care of us.
