The report of a shooting near Westbury High School is heartbreaking. I am praying for everyone affected and for the families waiting for answers. We do not yet know what led to this shooting. But I am tired of watching people treat one another as if a life has no value. We have to stop dehumanizing each other, online and in person. I believe we need to strengthen the nuclear family and rebuild communities centered on Christ. Put the phones down. Know what our children are seeing online. Sit with them, listen to them, bring them to church, and teach them to see the humanity in every person, even someone they disagree with.
