📌 Alice’s One-Liner Principle Vol. 3
Home advantage isn’t as locked in as you think.
See the home team and a lot of people instantly add a buff: crowd, familiar pitch, no travel.
Alice’s reminder: home advantage is a probability, not a law.Classic example: 2026/27 Premier League opener, Man City go to Stamford Bridge and win 2-0. Chelsea at home, new manager’s first game, most people figured they’d at least nick a point.
City just ran the show and walked out with three points, clean as you like.⚽️
It wasn’t that
#Chelsea were suddenly terrible. City don’t care who they play away from home. They’re simply better. Home advantage bites hardest when two similar sides meet. When a big team plays a weaker one, home or away barely moves the needle.
Next time you see the word “home,” ask: is this side actually good, or just “good at home”? And is the visitor really scared of away days, or scared of everyone?
Home isn’t a lucky charm. Quality is.
