Yesterday we got the green flag to compete in the Geekulcha Annual Hackathon 2026. 🔥 Huge thanks to Team CipherNest for the grind that got us here as Nigeria’s first competing university team. This is only the start. The real work begins now. ❤️‍🔥@ireteeh #GKHack26 #BuildForUse

A lot of Web3 is still noise. Security tools have helped recover an estimated $34B, very helpful, but that's reactive. Real problems, real losses, and serious adoption issues are still sitting on this ecosystem, and people keep spinning up new projects in the name of degen vibes and innovation. According to industry estimates, AI scams are already about 4.5x more profitable than the old methods, and impersonation fraud targeting crypto users has surged roughly 1,400%. Recovering funds after the fact does not fix that. New tokens and "innovation" launches do not fix that. Impact here looks like fewer people losing funds they cannot recover, not more projects.

As builders, data science is really an integral part of what you do. I really got to understand the core relevance of data modeling and structuring (they are distinct and very important). Can't say the effort put in for the Geekulcha hackathon didn't teach me alot, especially non-technically.

Happy new month, everyone! I believe this month will be a good and more profitable one. We didn’t get the chance to secure a funded account or a live account last month, but I believe this month will be better. We keep pushing. 🤍✝️

One thing I've noticed about startups: The product you start with may not be the product you end up building. The market can force a pivot. Customers can change the roadmap. New constraints can change the strategy. Maybe that's why early stage investors scrutinize the team so closely. They're not just funding today's company. They're funding its ability to evolve. In the era of generative AI, iteration speed is gold!

Curious on how the AI & ML student in USA feel knowing the course name they entered the institution with would be called SI now.

I've been investing in Africa since 2021. And there's one thing I've learned: The biggest opportunities aren't where everyone is looking.

One of my biggest rules for AI agent security: **Don't make the AI responsible for enforcing the security boundary that contains the AI.** If your security control is: "Dear AI, please don't do this dangerous thing." ...that's a prompt. A suggestion really. It is not a security boundary. If the agent should not be able to access something, restrict its permissions. If it should not be able to communicate somewhere, restrict its network access. If it should not be able to call a particular tool, don't give it that tool. If an action is especially dangerous, require approval outside the agent. Prompts can help guide behaviour. **Security controls should limit what happens when the behaviour isn't what we expected.** That's how we make an AI agent doing something weird a lot less exciting. :-) I talk more about agent escapes and the controls we can put around them here: twp.ai/E5FNq4

It’s no longer “Artificial Intelligence” or AI, it's now "Super Intelligence" or SI President Trump has officially directed the US executive branch to use “Super Intelligence” or “SI” instead. The announcement came after his WH meeting with major technology leaders, including Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Sundar Pichai, Dario Amodei, and Mark Zuckerberg. I see this as a notable shift in how the US govt describes the rapidly advancing AI industry.

Dangerous strategy from USA.
ASML’s “we have never shipped an EUV machine to China” is telling on itself. Total lawyer answer. They know a decommissioned machine slipped through, at tremendous cost to American national security.

I and our fellow backend guy were deep in talk on blockchain security and reactions to it today. Did come to realize that alot can be done to respond to Blockchain security incidents but alot of gaps to fill in order to promote more trust in the ecosystem.
Day 40 of learning Web3 security! 🚀 Tackled Unprotected Initializers. Unlike constructors, upgradeable contracts use initialize() functions. If not locked down by an initializer modifier or deployed atomically, MEV bots can front-run and steal protocol ownership! 🔐
