Not really, because you're still thinking linearly. God exists outside of time entirely.
He created Adam and Eve as fully-formed adults, not infants. So why couldn't He create animals with "mature" genetics at the jump? From His perspective, 2,000 years ago is as much "now" as 2,000 years from now. "Always was, is, and will be", grasping it?
And re: the Ark, stop picturing two of every modern animal like the children's book painted in your head.
They didn't exist yet. They took two of every kind's base genetic templates(e.g. 2 canines for seed genetics to all wolves, dogs, coyotes, dingos, etc. 2 felines for seed genetics to all lions, tigers, house cats, etc).
Plus obviously they took smaller juveniles or eggs when possible (more reproductive life ahead, less space, less food, less waste).
The mechanics work fine once you stop forcing a human based linear, materialist frame onto a transcendent Being.
