Helicon changes how Avalanche staking works: the minimum lock can drop from about two weeks to 48 hours, validators can auto-renew, and new periods need 90% uptime to get rewards. The C-Chain also gets “continuous execution” and a dynamic minimum gas price. If you run a node and you are not on AvalancheGo v1.15.0, you can fall off the chain.
