During a dialogue session titled “Arabic Language and Identity in the Age of Algorithms,” held at our pavilion during the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026, H.E. Dr. Saeed Al Dhaheri, Director of the Center for Future Studies at the University of Dubai, highlighted the limited presence of Arabic content in the digital space. He emphasized the importance of developing competitive local AI models to strengthen AI sovereignty and enhance the presence of Arabic in emerging technologies. Dr. Badia Al Hashemi, Associate Professor in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the University of Sharjah, emphasized the importance of developing reading, writing, critical-thinking, and analytical skills from the early years of education. She noted that a strong foundation enables students to critically evaluate AI-generated content, stressing that human intelligence will remain essential in guiding the use of artificial intelligence. #AbuDhabiInternationalBookFair #TheECSSR

H.E. Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), received Mr. Khalid Bin Hadi, CEO of Siemens Energy in the UAE, Bahrain and Oman, during his visit to the Center. The meeting featured an exchange of views on a number of issues of mutual interest and explored prospects for cooperation between both sides. During a dialogue session titled “Emirati Women: From Empowerment to Impact,” held at our pavilion during the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026, Dr. Dalal Matar Al Shamsi, Director of the National Water and Energy Center at United Arab Emirates University, highlighted the opportunities available to Emirati women today compared with previous generations. She emphasized the importance of making the most of these opportunities while preserving authentic Emirati traditions and national values, and representing the UAE in the best possible way. Mariyam Hamad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Foundation, emphasized the importance of introducing younger generations to the UAE’s journey of women’s empowerment and the transformations the country has undergone. The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) and Dubai Media signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in research and knowledge-related fields and to develop joint programs and initiatives that support knowledge exchange, scientific research, and professional development. Areas of cooperation include the development and implementation of joint programs, courses, and workshops; collaboration on research projects and publications; the organization of events, conferences, and seminars; and the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and resources in support of the two entities’ shared objectives. #TheECSSR
