Charles Cryer, CEO of Oroco Resource Corp, believes copper is entering a “higher for longer” price environment, with the real supply crunch still ahead. He points to underinvestment, ageing mines, declining grades and short-term disruptions tightening supply, while electrification, EVs and AI are driving structural demand. With major deficits getting closer and new mines taking 15–20 years to build, he sees the current market as only the foothills of a much bigger copper cycle.
