NFL (9/24) 🏈 1u | Christian Watson o66.5 Receiving Yards (-111) Collab w/ @balls_out_bets + @hotshotfantasy Christian Watson Over 66.5 Receiving Yards Watson is beginning to emerge as Jordan Love's number 1 target. Over 2 games (yes small sample) Watson is accounting for 27% of the target share. He leads the team in targets at 19 with Golden close behind at 18. There is a big drop off after that with Tucker Kraft tallying 9 and Jayden Reed getting 8 targets. In week 1, he tallied 8 targets snagging 6 receptions for 147 yards. There is an outlier here because Watson broke off a long TD but the volume was still there. In week 2, he tallied 11 targets but he only managed to bring in 4 receptions for 41 yards. Im chalking that up to a rainy day against a surprisingly decent New York secondary. Watson also has a good matchup in Week 3 against what looks to be a weak Atlanta secondary. They are allowing an average of 254 yards per game ranking 25th in the league. Now the bulk of those yards did come in week 2 against the Panthers as the Steelers offense looks to be in shambles. But, I do expect some sort of positive regression out of this Packers offense after the dud of a week 2 against the Jets. I actually think we get a positive game script as well. GB is coming off OT on Sunday and have a quick turnaround playing on TNF. In those spots, the teams coming off OT are 6-28 ATS. If that trend continues to hold true, Atlanta may keep this closer than the general public thinks. If this game remains close, the Pack will not be able to abandon the pass. Further, Atlanta currently has the top ranked run defense allowing just 63 yards per game to their opponents. That is impressive as they lost their last game by 30 and Carolina had the game script to just run the ball. GB has been dreadful on the ground and now they face what may be a top notch run D.
