Pretty damn excited to announce I’m a producer on the new TV pilot, TRENDING, created by Kristian Harloff. II’d heard really good things about the script, so I asked Kristian if I could read it. I’ve read enough scripts over the years to know that “I heard it’s good” doesn’t always mean much. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. Genuinely, I was surprised by how much I loved it and how clearly I could see where the show could go. I ended up ASKING HIM if I could get involved as a producer. It was announced yesterday that Emmy-winning producer Andrew Fried (Chef’s Table, Welcome to Wrexham) is directing & producing with Boardwalk Pictures. The Kickstarter launches September 22, and right now we’re trying to hit 5,000 followers BEFORE launch. "The Thanos mythos was built up over the years..." what seems to not be acknowledged here is That Was The Whole Point. That's why Thanos worked. The build up, theories, but knowing years in advance he was for sure gonna be the ultimates bad. He felt super important for years before we FINALLY got Infinity War. Some goddamn answers or whatever. Yes, technically, we have only seen him for a few minutes here and there collectively throughout the years, but that's why it was so effective and I don't believe you can just adopt a tone that seems to not really address the actual concern cause apart of the first time experiencing these events movies is the build up. That's the audience emotional experience. When you drop weird purple looking guy into a post credits scene into your cinematic changing event movie 2012 Avengers movie as this was the real big bad Loki was working for - YES WE DO THE BUILD UP. So when it said there's no build up to Doctor doom, truly, there isn't. There's not one movie outside a very obvious post credits scene (F4 First Steps) that in the back of your head you just know they had to do insert this shit quickly cause doomsday was next. Theres TECHNICALLY Build Up to Incursions but has it really been feeling like we are building up To incursions? properties sometimes had them, and sometimes didn't. It's just not the same thing man and can't really say we'll just get that similar Type of - I don't know. Reward? That sounds entitled but whatever sticking to it But the side that would make the experience compelling is Doom feeling personal. That build up is a big part of what has made the emotional experience great. And it's Robert Downey Jr, he's a great actor. the dude playing a dude might actually pull off something awesome. Memorable. And "holy shit it made me feel like Doom really knew that Reed and it feels like they have history on screen that I never got to see but somehow this more Than satisfies." The movie might be the best damn avengers Movie ever. However Thats not REALLY the point though when this is brought up. People are referring to their current feeling right now, not what you are hoping they feel when the movie comes out.
