A pair of unexpected developments based on what Glenn said this afternoon: • Kingsley Enagbare limited with a knee injury. Glenn didn’t mention him. • Kene Nwangwu a full participant and not limited. Very encouraging. This suggests Enagbare might’ve gotten hurt in practice.

Figured the Levao move was coming. Jets had an open spot on the 53 and didn’t have any healthy backup iOL with Meredith starting. Grupe and Sanders essentially swap places. Nice to see Clark clear waivers, Jets like him quite a bit.
The Jets are signing OL Kohl Levao to the 53 from the practice squad. They're also signing S Jordan Clark and K Blake Grupe back to the practice squad, per source.

Sounds like Kene Nwangwu also has a chance to return this week along with Minkah. Both guys will be limited in practice today, along with Sadiq and Ruckert who are dealing with minor injuries. Would be a huge boost to a struggling Jets special teams unit.

Best-case scenario for Dylan Parham. Jets will be very shorthanded on offense, but they avoid a disaster outcome with their LG. Hoping one of Taylor or Mitchell can return this week. Don’t expect Breece to play.
Breece Hall, Mason Taylor, Adonai Mitchell, Dylan Parham are all out today and considered week to week, Aaron Glenn.

Expecting the Jets to have an update on Dylan Parham’s status today. To this point, I’d say that no news is probably good news. No IR moves made and no Rapoport tweets about torn ligaments. I’m sure he’ll miss time, but if it’s week-to-week that’s probably best-case scenario.

If the Packers are signing Kevin Zeitler, a very good RG still, that opens the door to try Becton at RT if Belton continues to struggle.

listen Packers fans I know Jacob Monk is bad and you’re basically running a 5 guard OL but it can’t be this dire surely

I wouldn’t take the iOL additions as an indication on Parham’s injury other than that they expect him to miss *some* time. Jets were extremely thin at iOL. Meredith and Kohl Levao were the only actual healthy backup iOL under contract with the team. They just needed bodies.
The Jets are waiving CB Jordan Clark, per source. He could return on the practice squad if he clears waivers. They are also signing C/G Nick Dawkins and C/G Jimmy Morrissey to the practice squad.

*he’s a center by the way* Two-year starter at Penn State, signed with the Ravens as a UDFA this summer. Gives the Jets much-needed iOL depth following the Dylan Parham injury. Also the cousin of Brian Dawkins and Karl-Anthony Towns!
Jets are signing LB Nick Dawkins to the practice squad, per sources. Dawkins, son of former NBA star Darryl Dawkins, was a standout at Penn State and had signed with Baltimore post-draft.

upon second watch brother that might’ve been Sherwood’s worst game as a pro my goodness
A lot of attention has been given to guys like Andre Cisco and Braiden McGregor who have looked significantly better this year. The same is true for Jamien Sherwood IMO. Looks a lot more comfortable in his new role alongside Demario Davis. Been a more consistent player.

Robert Saleh has access to a database of available NFL players but he accidentally has the “Jets” filter on. Both of these guys were in camp with the Jets this summer 👇

Overall positive update on Breece.👇 Jets will be thin at RB for the time being. Big opportunity for Braelon Allen and hoping to see a heavy dose of Isaiah Davis. Kene Nwangwu (injured/not a RB) and Al-Jay Henderson (PS) are the only other RBs under contract.
#Jets star RB Breece Hall, who suffered a quad injury in Sunday’s game, is considered week-to-week, per me and @AdamSchefter. Hall received some good news after the MRI, as the injury isn’t as significant as feared.

More people need to be talking about how good Geno Smith has been for the Jets. It’s not quite Seattle Geno because he’s playing a different, more efficient, less volatile, and also more conservative brand of football. Doesn’t quite have the ceiling of prime Geno, but his floor has been even higher. Just a damn good quarterback so far this season. Like not grading on a curve either. He’s been excellent relative to any QB play around the league.
Only 4 QBs in Week 3 faced more pressure than Geno Smith who was “under pressure” for 19 of his 44 dropbacks, per PFF. Smith completed a ridiculous 12-of-13 passes (92.3%) for 152 yards on those 19 dropbacks. None of the other top-5 most pressured QBs completed more than 44% of their passes in Week 3. Geno completed over 92%. Outrageous efficiency under pressure, not to mention the depleted skill group he was working with. Genuinely a top-5 Jets QB performance I’ve ever personally watched.

(as far as I can tell) Geno Smith is the first QB in Jets history to throw for 300+ yards, 3+ TDs, and 0 INT in a game while completing 83%+ of his passes. Geno completed 31-of-37 passes for 321 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Lions. He currently leads the NFL in CPOE (completion % over expected) through 3 weeks. Exceeding even the loftiest expectations Jets fans had for him. He’s been outstanding.
