Media Foundation for West Africa retweeted
Legal Practitioner and lecturer at the University of Media, Arts and Communication Institute of Journalism, Zakaria Tanko Musah, is calling for stronger mechanisms to allow people who feel aggrieved by media practitioners to seek redress through internal channels before going to court.
He made the proposal during a Media Foundation for West Africa training programme for journalists on the legal frameworks governing media practice in Ghana.

Between 7th-11th September, 2026, the MFWA contributed its expertise in peace and conflict-sensitive journalism to two media-security engagements in Bolgatanga and Nalerigu.
The engagements were organised by @NPC_Ghana in collaboration with @UNDPGhana, with funding support from the Embassy of Japan.
Journalists, security agencies and peacebuilding actors explored disinformation, verification, journalist safety and stronger media-security relations.
Stronger collaboration means a more informed, peaceful Ghana.
