you WERE springlocked. Edwin designed his suits to be safer than Fazbear's. Even then, Springlock failures are still totally survivable
only reason Afton "died" from it was cause he (stupidly) put his helmet back on
This moment in Secret of the Mimic is when I stopped caring. There's 0 threat to being in a SPRINGLOCK SUIT, including a suit surviving a two story drop WITHOUT GOING OFF! It's boring AND ridiculous.
Compare this to FNaF Sister Location, it's such a downgrade in the suit's danger
