India Is Building Underground Defences to Secure the Siliguri Corridor 🇮🇳 The Chicken's Neck is only about 22 km wide at its narrowest, and India is now planning to fortify it below ground. The plan includes 12 underground air defence ammunition stores and one linked to the Smerch rocket system, at an estimated cost of ₹297 crore. Another ₹237 crore goes to five underground command centres, six communication centres and 12 bomb shelters. Alongside this come an underground rail tunnel, a six-lane Gorakhpur–Siliguri Expressway and upgraded highways, so no single route can cut off the Northeast. This is based on a News18 report, and the government hasn't officially announced the full plan 🇮🇳

THE F-22 RAPTOR: STILL UNMATCHED One of the greatest fighter jets ever built. Stealth, supercruise, insane maneuverability and unmatched air-to-air dominance. Nearly two decades after its introduction, no other fighter jet can truly match the F-22’s capabilities.

Let’s see if India’s first Made-in-India C-295 actually reaches the IAF before 2027 begins. 🇮🇳
Delivery of the 17th C295, and the very first manufactured in India, will take 1–2 months more. IAF Chief ACM AP Singh confirms that minor issues encountered during production testing are being resolved currently.

Major tragedy averted at 17,000 feet ✈️ An IndiGo flight from Patna to Lucknow was struck by lightning at night, badly damaging the aircraft’s nose. Thankfully, the pilot managed to land safely and all 110 people on board were safe. 🙏🇮🇳

India Could Put Its Biggest Indigenous Underwater Drone In The Water Within A Year. 🇮🇳 Krishna Defence MD Ankur Shah says large indigenous AUVs could become operational with the Indian Navy within 6–12 months. One of the key pr, an extra-large autonomous underwater vehicle being built by KDAIL with Rekise Marine for the Navy. The physical construction of Jalkapi had already begun in June 2025, with KDAIL describing it as India's largest advanced AUV project. The platform is being developed for missions such as underwater surveillance, mine warfare and other high-risk operations where sending a crewed submarine may not be necessary. And this is where it gets interesting: the same large AUV platform could eventually be adapted for armed missions in future.

They boast a potential operational range of roughly 1,000 nautical miles and can remain submerged for up to 21 days at a time

India will never blindly allow this. The Iran conflict showed how Starlink can be used as a strategic tool during a war, keeping communications open when Iran shut down the internet.
Unfortunately, we are being blocked by certain oligarchs in order to maintain their monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people. You can guess who they are … This is a crime against the people of India!

DRDO Wants a Hawker Jet to Flight-Test Its Indigenous IRST System 🇮🇳 DRDO's IRDE has issued an RFP to flight-test its indigenous infrared sensing system. The system is called LRDTS, the Long Range Detection and Tracking System. It will fly on a modified Hawker 800 jet. The campaign needs around 45 flight hours on the Hawker. A separate L-39 Albatros jet will act as the target for about 30 of those hours. The goal is to see how well the system tracks airborne targets across different backgrounds and conditions. This kind of tech lets a fighter spot enemy aircraft without using radar. That keeps it from giving away its own position. 🇮🇳

IRDE has been working toward this for a while, it's the same lab developing a dedicated IRST system meant for the Tejas Mk2

Army's Current Tanks Are Getting Anti-Drone Tech 🇮🇳 Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh confirmed a proposal to retrofit counter-UAS systems onto tanks already in service. This covers the T-90 Bhishma, T-72 Ajeya and the indigenous Arjun, rather than waiting years for a new generation of tanks. Small drones now fly low enough to dodge long-range air defence, making them a real threat to armour on the ground. A full setup usually needs radars and cameras to detect and track drones, jammers to cut their control link, and hard-kill interceptors as a backup. No numbers, cost or timeline have been made public yet 🇮🇳

Singh says India already has the industrial base to build and fit these systems locally, which is a solid opening for domestic radar and EW companies to step in

DRDO Tests Its New High-Altitude Parachute at 16,000 Feet in Ladakh 🇮🇳 DRDO carried out the first live jump of its Advanced High-Altitude Parachute at Nyoma in Ladakh. The jump happened at 16,000 feet, with the parachute opening at 15,500 feet and landing at 13,700 feet. Static line jumps at this altitude are genuinely risky, the air is thin enough to cause a harder opening shock and a faster rate of descent than normal. ADRDE Agra designed the system, built by Ordnance Parachute Factory Kanpur and certified by CEMILAC. It can operate up to 18,000 feet, giving troops a way to mass-drop paratroopers in high-altitude terrain like Ladakh. 🇮🇳

Rajnath Singh called this another step for Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and it matters practically too, since paratrooper operations in the Himalayas have always been limited by exactly this kind of altitude risk

DRDO's Astra Mk-3 Could Push Air-to-Air Range Past 300 km 🇮🇳 Astra Mk-1 currently flies at around 100 km and is already in service. DRDO is now stretching that to 160 km. Astra Mk-2 goes further, engaging targets beyond 200 km, and it's already seeing intensified trials on fighter jets. The real leap comes with Mk-3, codenamed Project Gandiva, aiming past 300 km and possibly up to 350 km depending on the final configuration. That range would put India among a small group of countries capable of fielding ultra-long-range air-to-air missiles. 🇮🇳

Rajnath Singh has separately approved handing DRDO's conventional missile tech to private companies, so this entire Astra family could soon see faster production once industry gets involved
