Let’s talk about selective outrage. Interpol just arrested two Turkish nationals in South Africa who were wanted for rape back home. One was a former primary school principal hiding in Cape Town, wanted for sexually assaulting a 9 year old girl. The other was hiding in Isipingo, south of Durban, wanted for raping his former lover. Now think back to when the FBI arrested Nigerians in Cape Town. The xenophobic brigade was writing full paragraphs, trending hashtags, and calling for mass deportations. Today? Interpol makes these arrests of Europeans hiding in the Western Cape and KZN, and it’s absolute crickets. It won’t trend because they aren’t African. Crime has no nationality. If you only care about criminals when they are Black and foreign, you never cared about justice, you just wanted a scapegoat. 🇿🇦

Dishonest take. The EFF she’s representing is entangled in being the only party that uses money from its own coffers to fund aviation studies of destitute youth, building dignified homes for people with disabilities (the list is LONG!). The EFF is tangled in having insourced cleaners and security guards in Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg and other municipalities. She’s representing the party whose current MMCs far outperform other political parties with service delivery. All the things you mention to be a possible reason for digression from voting for the EFF and subsequently contributing to possibilities of Johannesburg having its own Mamdani aren’t even solid. No findings. No cases. No arrests. Nothing. Just talk and talk and talk. Be honest. EFF has good policies. EFF has a good track record with service delivery and where it is opposition, with holding executive accountable; with the little power it has been entrusted with. EFF has good candidates for mayoral positions. There’s a reason Dr T is with EFF. She IS EFF.
