I got married 6 months ago, after the wedding. My husband requested for my salary to add up to his business and I gave him.
Last month, my mom was s!ck and was admitted in the hospital, I called my husband to inform him before sending them money because I was at work, but his line was unava!lable.
So I had to send the money, since It was emergency. When I came back from work, I informed my husband, the house was on fire for 30 minutes, that I have no right to spent the money because he needed the money.
My parents trained me in school alone and I was working and earning money before I got married but now I can't even take care of myself but I am not complaining about it 😭 just because I sent money to my own mother

Nigerians are such a funny bunch. A large percentage of us are struggling with poverty, but somehow seeing people document what that reality actually looks like is what offends us.
And the funniest part? Some of you are not even as far from that reality as you think. You live in a rented apartment, dress nicely, come online every day to hustle for engagement and monetisation, and somehow think you’re completely different from someone doing the exact same thing with thrifted clothes and a less fancy home.
If you’ve escaped poverty, good for you and your family. But why should someone else’s reality irritate you?
If poverty content annoys you that much, unfollow the person. Block them. Tell your algorithm you’re not interested.
You people should be calming down small.
