I am incredibly proud to share the outcome of St Anne’s Catholic Primary School’s recent Catholic Schools Inspectorate visit.
St Anne’s was judged to be a Good Catholic school, with outstanding leadership and many outstanding features. Our Catholic Life and Mission was judged Outstanding.
The report describes St Anne’s as:
“A happy and vibrant school where children feel safe, valued and cared for as unique individuals.”
Inspectors also recognised that “pupils are at the heart of all the school strives to do” and praised our exceptional pastoral care, exemplary pupil behaviour, strong Catholic identity and thriving partnership between the school, parish and families.
This outcome reflects the commitment of our wonderful children, our dedicated staff, governors, parish community and families.
I am especially proud that the inspectors recognised the way our mission—“Let the light of Christ shine in our school”—is not simply displayed, but known, lived and witnessed throughout our community.
We celebrate this significant achievement with gratitude and humility, while remaining determined to build upon it and continue providing every child with the opportunity to flourish.

Today we remember PCs Fiona Bone & Nicola Hughes of @gmpolice. The unarmed officers were murdered 14yrs ago in 2012. Their death’s caused revulsion across the U.K & the world. We were honoured to erect our memorial to them.
