The sign outside my door feels ominous, yet hopeful at the same time. It’s a strange combo. It’s hard to ask family to wear masks, or gloves when they visit. But I know everyone understands why. I am several rounds of chemotherapy in, and it’s doing what it’s supposed to do 🙌🏻🙏🏻 I’ll spare you the details of how horrific the treatment and reaction(s) to the treatment can be… but my heart will forever go out to anyone who’s had to endure chemotherapy. I’m feel positive and hopeful. I’m missing home. I haven’t been outside, or seen my daughter in 2 weeks… which feels like an eternity. But whatever I have to do, to get better for HER, I will. Thank you again for all the comments, messages, prayers etc… It really does help SO MUCH. I try to read, & respond to, them all. Love -Ryan #cancersucks

I had a severe pain in my side. Turns out my spleen was HUGE & about to burst. They think I’ve actually had cancer for about a year.

Cancer diagnosis update: After more testing & a bone marrow biopsy my diagnosis has changed to Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Slightly different, & maybe a little more challenging, but with a similar treatment plan. I’ve had a couple of rounds of chemo here in the hospital, which is doing what it needs to do. They have decided to keep me here for 7-10 more days. I will continue to receive treatment. Then I will begin an outpatient treatment plan, chemo etc… & I’ll have to take a pill for the rest of my life. I am VERY lucky to be alive, & it was very touch & go for a few days there. Feeling incredibly grateful to still be here, & to have all of the incredible support. THANK YOU 🙏🏻 Please keep all of the comments, messages, prayers etc… coming. It’s really lifting my spirits. I love you all ❤️‍🩹

Cancer update. I know a lot of people are concerned. My official diagnosis is: Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). I have finally been moved out of ICU & can now start the plan of action for treatment moving forward. Please keep all of the prayers, messages, & good vibes coming❤️‍🩹

Update & prayer request: Still in ICU. Waiting on final test/biopsy results, which will (obviously) determine what the rest of my life will look like. Should know today/tomorrow. Please pray for a result that means I can live a long life for Della. Can ask you to pray for that?🙏🏻

Friends, I have cancer 😞 THANK YOU for all the kind words & support. I love you all. That feels important to say… I love you. I will update everyone when I know more. But as of now, I will be kept in the hospital ICU for the next several days ❤️‍🩹❤️
