FP&A friends, even with AI, you need to know how to use it in an FP&A sense. AI won't make you a better analyst if you are not trained on FP&A fundamentals.
Can anyone compete against Carta? I have to pull Pulley from my tech stack report.
Next survey opens in Q4. I think we'll see a lot of change this year.
One good thing with vibe coding. Creating something that would never be built.
I created an ad performance app for my newsletter advertisers.
They can see the firmographics of who clicks on their ad.
The pic below is a new report that will show ad slot performance over 3 months to prove that ads are getting ROI.
Nobody wants more dashboards. AI makes these so easy now. They still have their place, but we are beyond this now.
I just vibe-coded an exec dashboard with AI and put it into production with my app. Shared the link with the founder. Live, always-on dashboard.
Total time: 15 minutes (most of that was ChatGPT creating the custom HTML)
Thursday, I'm demoing my deterministic financial engine and MCP.
A little show and tell on how I'm using AI in finance.
Save your seat: thesaascfo.webinarninja.com/…
Doing some cool stuff with my MCP. You can do this too. What if a top equity analyst covered your company? What would the say? How would they value it?
I'm starting to get cheap. I've been using Anthropic models with OpenClaw.
Switching to Gemini. I wasn't too impressed with Anthropic in OpenClaw. Lots of mistakes.
There was one software vertical that stood out in the 107 pricing pages.
For outcome-based pricing, customer support lends itself to this pricing model.
Developer tools also showed a preference for metered and hybrid pricing models.
In total, only 1 in 9 were outcome-based pricing. It's a wide-open pricing field right now.

Trying to get a demo for Metronome (acquired by Stripe).
1) Completed the request a demo
2) Contacted soon after
3) Short call with Stripe SDR collecting basic info (this should have been an AI SDR).
4) SDR says probably can't do a demo on the 2nd call but will get the Stripe AE on and maybe a Metronome resource.
5) I say I really don't want to talk Stripe Rev Rec. I need to see Metronome. Want to buy in next month.
6) Call set up for next week. Demo status uncertain. Maybe a Metronome resource on the next call.
Possibly 3 calls to get any info.
Is this what happens to sales when big tech buys you?
