Isaiah’s argument was rock solid on structural law. Austin thought citing H.R. 2435 and throwing out an arbitrary $73k–$80k gold peg would seal the win, but his logic collapsed the moment he argued that placing the Fed under Treasury strengthens Congressional authority.
As Isaiah pointed out, the Cabinet serves at the pleasure of the President. Moving the Fed under Treasury delegates monetary control straight to the White House, making it more political, not less. Austin tried to pivot by saying Isaiah didn't read the bill, but Isaiah was the only one actually accounting for separation of powers under the U.S. Constitution. Props to Isaiah for staying composed and exposing the flaw in Austin's logic
Destroyed that Trumper on his own show 🤣
