130mph Speed Project continues Today’s session: Warm-Up (not recorded 🎥) Fit For Golf Dynamic Warm-Up Lateral Jumps & Med Ball Slams (2 x 8 of each) @thestacksystem 60g 2 x 5 Main Session: Video 1) Working on separating mass and pressure - get upper body more behind ball, while still pushing hard with left foot (x 3 swings) Video 2) Wedge under lead foot - gives me something to push harder and “brake” against. Works against my tendency of everything drifting too far towards target. (x 3 swings) Video 3) Shortened Backswings - less time to apply force, incentivized to produce it more quickly (x 3 swings) Video 4 & 5) Giving it a rip - main focus on allowing wrists to hinge more. I generally don’t use my wrists very much. (x 3 swings) 3 rounds Then I just hit a few more at the end. Getting to 125-126 quite often when fully warmed up and going at it. About 5mph off my goal of hitting 130mph regularly in training.

Just finished the Foundation and I find it awesome. Changed my entire golf plan at 62. I was 88 when I started the foundation and have hit 104 at my high end but average around 100. I love it!

Wasn't my best round 🙃 Positives: - My back felt good - PING K Head Driver has pretty much eliminated the right miss of mine off the tee (either straight or a little over draw now) - Putting is still strong, holed some good putts Things to work on: - Need more speed. I'm just too slow. It affects the distance I hit all my other clubs, not just driver - Short game sucks. Haven't worked on it for ages so no surprises there - I hit too many irons thin & right. Miss greens as a result Overall, not a bad day out considering I've played 27 holes since Canada in May. It was blowing 20-30mph so decent outing in the wind Lost to my tour pro who shot -2 🙂 If you are someone who is looking to break 80, honestly, you don't need to do anything special for break 80. I hit 8 greens and shot 76 🙂

I want to hit 195mph ball speed by the end of the year, and be over 190mph a lot when training. That should enable a 180-185mph on course range comfortable. Two technique elements I’ve been trying are a wider stance and a harder push from my left to right foot to get the swing started. @DrKwonGolf is big on a counter movement to get the swinging initiated and promote a good sequence. (Dr Kwon’s material is great, I am level 2 certified in his golf mechanics course 🤓). I’ll be doing some more speed training with driver and @thestacksystem and working on my technique a bit. I’ve some ideas for structuring speed sessions I haven’t tried before that I will experiment with. Basically, using a variety of different drills that will challenge me in different ways, rather than just trying to figure out swinging faster by hitting a bunch of balls (which can be really effective). Might have had a couple extra mph ball speed with a proper ball here. I’ll save the “max effort” sessions for the sim. They aren’t as practical on the range.

Post workout @thestacksystem swings 300g x 5 -Break- 75g x 5 (video) -Break- Repeat x 3 sets ~10 mins total I have thinking about overspeed training with loads lighter than driver quite a bit. Not a new discovery, but I think giving the body and brain exposure to the movement pattern (swing) at a speed faster than normal could have significant coordination benefits. Learn how to ramp speed up faster, and then decelerate more sharply, to get more speed into the club head. Especially useful for people who are more bus than Ferrari 🙂.

Been absolutely pumping on YouTube over the past couple of months I'll be honest... I kinda gave up on YouTube for a while. Reason being is I was just doing the same golf tip videos as everyone else & hoping that would gain traction It didn't So I hired a team to help me & now we are cooking! Yeah golf tips are cool, but I'm doing some really deep dives into certain topics for you. Stuff that helps EVERYONE If you have subscribed yet, please do so because I'm only getting started. Some epic video ideas are on the way. Click the link in the post below to check out my YT channel PS: I hired the right people to help me as I had no idea how to improve on YT... you should do the same for your golf game. Invest in good help & you'll get better, faster! DM me if you want some help 👊

I bought @TheStackSystem and my kids made fun of it. "You gonna go swing your $150 stick now?". Now they're now obsessed with trying to get their swing speed up & the 9-year-old went to the range with my 3 days in a row. (I hadn't been to the range once this year, lmao).
