“PETER OBI IS NOT GODFATHER TO ANY OF SOLUDO’S CHILDREN” — NONYE SOLUDO CLARIFIES Anambra State First Lady, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has clarified a claim made by former Anambra Governor Peter Obi about the godparent relationship between his family and that of Governor Chukwuma Soludo. Obi had, while speaking at a conference in Enugu, said he was not in a quarrel with Governor Soludo and mentioned that he and his wife are godparents to Soludo’s children. But following the widespread circulation of the video, Nonye Soludo said she and her husband had received several calls seeking clarification. According to her statement: • Peter Obi is not the godfather of any of Soludo’s children. • Nonye Soludo is the confirmation godmother to Peter Obi’s daughter. • Margaret Obi, Peter Obi’s wife, is the baptismal godmother to one of Soludo’s daughters. • Neither Peter Obi nor Governor Soludo has served as godparent to the other’s children. Nonye Soludo added that Obi may have simply misspoken while making his remarks, stressing that the relationship between both families remains cordial.

I remember this night, sometimes in August 2024. I had just returned to Abuja from Benue, where I went to buy yam worth ₦4.5 million.

E be like film, till today I no see Idris. I Looked for him everywhere I could, tracked his number that I had but couldn’t find him. That was how I managed to get home, first dey think my life with this tiger.
